Quick shift and bog/drop.

Can someone please tell me what the insane bog is when shifting really fast? less of a bog actually and more like the car waits for half a second and than goes. Almost hops the car twice. Am I shifting an AWD car wrong, is that the pill thing, or is this something else? It is annoying. It doesn't feel like turbo lag, more like the car accels for 500rpm slower and than stops and than accels really quick. note, this isn't the flash thing..I had the flash and the car pulls smooth to red line after that odd bog.

No, this is different. Reflash fixed the hiccups up top.

That is what I thought at first. That I suck at shifting since I want from FWD to AWD.

Interesting, will try. I thought it was that boost/shift pill thing.

I'm not running rich or idling odd but the shift did this to me tonight as well! I also noticed a distinct smell when I took the car off the showroom floor, almost like clutch burn or hot brakes. The car only had 3 miles and the smell only lasted half an hour or so, yeah I hadn't drove a stick in over 5 years but I was no where near clutch burn, anyone else received this smell when breaking the car in? Had to be the brembos????

Yea, I am thinking it is throttle response. How does one solve this issue. Unless turning ASC off really will help. will find out tomorrow.

Hmmm I remember reading about the Procede and it said that shiv wouldn't touch the EVT for liability reasons...maybe it's a safety precautions with ASC on

can't really do anything about it if it's throttle response. Reason for this is that the EVO X has a throttle by Wire(electronic) setup unlike your standerd Cable setup where you can adjust it like we did with you Type-S

I think it's something to do with the ASC also, because I have noticed that it only does it sometimes on my car as well, and most of the time it's fine and power shifts like a champ. Coincidentally, most of the time I have ASC turned off. I will check this today when I go out to confirm. I have noticed that it's almost like it's cutting power, and it's a similar feeling to when I toss the car around a tight turn and try to get it sideways with the ASC on. It cuts power and the car bogs down. With ASC off the car is so much more natural and raw. I can see it being a good thing in heavy rain or snow, but that's about it.

Ummm, incorrect. The throttle sensitivity/response and the rate at which the rpms fall (which is stubbornly slow on the X for emissions purposes) are all adjustable through the ecu. With a reflash this will be one of the easiest things to fix.

Ok, I am hoping it is the ASC than. Otherwise I hope the tune gets rid of it. That is what it feels like it.

Reflash!!! i just got the reflash and it completely got rid of the bog. Make sure you get the reflash. And I garuntee it doesn't just fix the hicup up top. At least not for me it didn't I just got it and the difference in bog is insane.
