LOL!

200 miles every tank? That's horrible. I would at least hope for 250 or more when "feather" driving the gas pedal.

I was averaging 230-260 before the reflash and that was driving normal, a little messing around but mostly driving like an old granny.

How about some real measurements and not picking numbers out of the arsh?

Fill the tank up.
Reset ur A trip meter.
Drive till your next fill up.
Take the amount of gallon put into the car.
Divide that with the mileage that is showing on trip A meter.
That should give you real world MPG.

I currently have a Fit and getting around 33-35 MPG.
I do 60% highway.

Back when I had the Evo8 same driving style I got 16-18 MPG.
Rarely driven hard.

I'm curious to know how the car estimates MPG then the real world MPG.

OK, here's the deal. I am still not factory reflashed. The above mpg was with mixed driving, breaking in the engine hard at times.

Now, most recently, on a fresh tank of gas and an oil change to Mobil 1 10-30, I went on a 160 mile freeway trip (constant 75 mph), and about 30 miles of city driving. My fuel guage was completely empty before I even hit 200 miles!!!!

Before the flash - 220 miles on a tank (20mpg). After the flash - 280 miles on a tank(25.5 mpg). I fill up when the light comes on or shortly after. Usually takes 11-12 gallons to fill.

I dont understand how everyone is getting this bad of milage. Are you guys in like constant boost? I mean it is a 4 cylinder...shouldnt it be getting insane milage????

My 03 cobra averages just a hair under 20MPG. And gets 24 on the highway. I would think mine would be WAY behind you guys. hmmm anyone have any input as to why this is? Driver related or just the nature of the beast?

I don't understand why people are so baffled by the gas mileage. A better way to think about it than in liters or in cylinders is to think of it in terms of power. There is a direct correlation between power and gas mileage, and its not a positive one.

exactly....especially without the factory reflash, the X runs rich no matter how hard you push it or don't push it. The reflash should rectify some of the bad mileage issues.

The short 5th gear does not help matters either.

If you look at an 08 Corvette that makes 436hp, they can still get very good highway mileage, I have read of 26-28 mpg, but this is due to the very low .50 6th gear OD. They just let the engine tick over at low rpm's to get it, but the engine does not mind it just churns over and pulls it.

Thread back from the dead. I'm getting 240 miles to the tank, MAX with an FP Red, 1000cc injectors, 11.2:1 AFR, beating on the car here and there.

That sound about right to whoever is modded?
