Man i remember the days when mitsu was selling thoses RS and GS eclipses like crazy.. i use to see them everywhere (95-99) I bet that was the best selling car ever for them.. I hated driving around in my GSX and having it confused with a RS.. but back in the day that was a great looking car, good cas milage, and cheap *** hell! rs was starting at like 15k gs 17-19 GST- 20-23 GSX 25+K can't get a new eclipse for that.. I do like the lancer.. i think that will help.. but they need something like the RS and GS of old to attact young 16-20yr olds that cheap and looks good..

BTW the new X is freaken ugly..

LOL that last line i just threw in there cause i like how people just randomly bash the X like that.. it doesnt matter that topic.. its getting to be funny as shiet.

The evo sales are ridiculous because of the markup- I'll be damned if I'd pay that much for a new evo- $40K? I haven't smoked that much tweed

You're like the media, hyping EVERYTHING and spreading rumors like brian cancer!!! WOW they only sold 324 EVO's this month, the economy is shot and gas is pushing 4 bucks a gallon, that's totally a shocker! How can people afford Evo's when most are making minimum wage or collecting unemployment?

Take your hatred and falsifications else where, better yet find yourself a new place to moan the blues about how Mitsubishi does this and that wrong. Evo's have always been rare, it's not like a civic si or WV jetta...

P.S. Not to mention the GTS, Outlander, EVO and Endeavor all hold their own against the competition.
Seems like someone has been stuck under a rock .

<--- After buying my X I'm never buying a mitsu again after owning 6 of them. I'll be moving UP to a C6 Z06 and sticking with V8 from now on.

My local dealer has a dozen X's on the lot and every one of them has a $5K markup. That makes some of them $45K. The salesman says "That's just what it says, if you're close on the trade and we need to knock a grand off, we can probably do that." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I casually mentioned South Coast pricing and he claimed they were getting in trouble with and couldn't do that anymore. And if you buy in California you have to pay their sales tax, etc. That's kinda true, but easy to get around, just typical salesman crap. I thought about telling him straight out I'd give him invoice and not a dime more, but I wasn't actually interested in purchasing, we just went to test drive and compare it to a couple other cars a friend of mine is considering. Had to limit how hard I jerked the salesguy around.

Speaking of which, I thought it drove just fine. Everything about it screams Mitsubishi in all the bad ways, but it has good enough motivation for a daily driver and it certainly does shine in the corners. Hard to argue with it being better than an IX. Sat in an IX at the lot, switched over to the X, ... hmmmm.... no contest.

Where did you get these figures? According to http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/01/b...rs-april-2008/

Subaru +12% at 16,771 (4/07: 13,786)
and Mitsu isn't the worst of any brand.

Mercury –31.8% at 12,910 (4/07: 17,481)
Mitsubishi –32% at 8,878 (4/07: 12,047)
Saab –37.9% at 1,580 (4/07: 2,350)
Land Rover –43.9% at 2,557 (4/07: 4,211)
Chrysler –45% at 30,670 (4/07: 51,441)
HUMMER –49.8% at 2,380 (4/07: 4,375)

ill be honest with you, Mitsu is a *****'n brand all day long. especially for us owning the 4g63. but as far as the X goes and gas prices, foreclosures and the economy... everyone is looking for a cheaper car, payment, saving in gas, insurance, and etc. Mitsu's problem is advertising and calling out the wrong crowd. I sell mitsu and kia and we have more people come in on the kia's than the mitsubishi vehicles. kia/ hyundai they have more incentive, more rebates, and a 10 year warranty 100k miles v.s. 3 year 36k miles on a honda.... so of course.

but yeah unfortunately mitsu also knew it was going to be a toss up on the X. They said it was going to be a love it or hate it car. Hopefully things pick up and everything gets better. but as far as mitsubishi goes its done me well for my evo 8 and my 06 lancer es!

I like how some people make it sound like it is a bad thing, I want a rare car...I take pride I am one of the only people around my suburb to own this car. The last thing I want is for it to be like a BMW, every douche bag with a good credit has one. I was standing at a light today. I **** you not, 5 in a row 3 series...I rubbed my eyes twice...thought it was a meet or something...it wasn't. Wish I had a camera . These days the craze is for cheap cars with good gas millage, no fun and enthusiasm in these people about cars anymore at all. Things like gas millage and environmentally friendly things are for women, I am a man...I want my car to be loud, fast, obnoxious, and I want it to look like something that will eat the hell out of you when driving down the street so I bought an EVO. handling and power over gas millage any day...though this isn't how everyone feels...thus the poor sales.

Who cares, it's a sick car, and what's wrong with good credit? You throw me the keys to an X or the keys to a 335 and you'd see which one I drive away in. Hell if I could afford it, my IX would be gone in a heartbeat! Oh and sex appeal=335, not X. Just needed to straighten that out .

Aggy aren't we? I care, Nothing wrong with good credit. Who gives a **** what you would drive out in? I was stating what I think. I had the choice between the two and I took the keys to the X when there is five of them every red light they lose their charm and any form of sex appeal. They lose their mystic and mysterious look to them, I don't actually mean attracting women...for that you just need money and not a car.

So are you still saying an X has more sex appeal than a 335? If so let me know what your sniffing cause it must be out of this world. The 335 truly is a work of art, where the X is.......well we all know what it is so I won't bother tiring my fingers.

P.S. They're not even comparable so don't even try. The 3 would trump the Evo in about every category. Anyway back to scheduled programming.

I think Mitsubishi could do a lot better with aggressive marketing and they need to completely revamp customer service at the dealers. I have had consistantly bad service all over the country from mitsu dealers. They do not encourage brand loyalty that way. There are a few good mitsu dealers out there, but 90% of them need serious improvement. They need to look at Acura, VW, Infiniti, dealers, etc to learn where they need to be. Mitsu should be checking up on them and if they don't pass the test, then offer up the franchise to someone else that can meet the standards.

I really think the Lancer, Eclipse (s/b lighter though) and Outlander look good and aren't cookie cutter. The galant is ugly and the raider was stupid (do they still make those?).
