Mitsu sales down 26.3%...Evo X sells 364 units in April
But the car was not in production in 2007. SC had a lot of left over IXs on their hands. SC always stocks up on Evos. Mitsu stopped producing Evo IXs at the end of August 2006. If you want to bring up a real comparison, then look at how many Evos were sold in Apr 06 compared to Apr 08.
The press release is deceptive and I think intentionally so.

I knew! it! , I even told my friends, EVO X wont sell as much 8 or 9 did! and i dont give a damn! Another thing service at mitsu! suck! and everyone knows that. Maybe if you would treat people with respect and appriciation, and fix their cars you could make more money!
Never go to mitsu for anything, find local shops and fix it there, its cheaper and people know alot.

We had SEs here in huge amounts until about last October, when they seemed to disappear across the country all at once.
I use South Coast as a gauge, because that dealership sells more Evos than any other in the entire country. I bought two of my three Evos there, and I'm over 2000 miles away.

I think the X is selling at an OK pace given the economy. 364 units isn't too bad. The new R32 just sold 399 units last month (and that was the 3rd best sales month for that car since it came out in August 2007)...but it also has heavy incentives on it. The new Evo X doesn't yet. Anyone know how many STIs were sold last month? Would help to put this in perspective.
Also, one thing to keep in mind is that the MR model isn't out yet and a bunch of guys are waiting for that model. BTW, pricing for the MR was just released.

I have a question...........most of the guys in here that are complaining about mitsu sells are the hard core guys....and the last year of the "hardcore" evo was back in 2006..TWO YEARS AGO..... so why do you all care what mitsu does as th evo that all of you love is long gone and lets be real here.....it will never be back....ever..me personally I could care less how mitsu is doing. I have the evo that I wont and even if mitsu closed there doors tomorrow nothing we say here could change that. as everyone says my warranty is gone as soon as I drove off the lot so i doesnt matter if there is a mitsu dealership anyways.

But Germans manufacturers are mainly the dominant force when it comes to luxury performance as of now. I feel that will change eventually when the Japanese decide to conquer that aspect also. We are seeing signs of that now with the R35 GT-R, the future NSX, and the Lexus LF-A.
I honestly don't know if Mitsu will ever recover from the 0-0-0 fiasco. It really tore the company apart along w/ the Montero rollover nonsense.
When I was with Mitsu back in 02/03, they had a goal of selling 500,000 cars by 2005. Needless to say that's never going to happen. We had 2 Mitsu stores and shut one day last year.
Mitsu had a great car w/ the Galant from 99 to 2003. The runied it w/ awful styling on the 2004's.
The endeavor is a really nice SUV, and one of the best in its class.

Mitsu's fine, this thread needs to die! I think it was GM who just laid 3,350 people off, not to mention Mitsubishi came in 11th place for reliability and build quality, beating all american manufacturers in a recent study!
