The MR's are going to look sooo nice setting next to the already 12 GSR's setting at the lot.. They may have to rent the lot next door to make more room.

Don't for get the 50k of service included with the bmw. Oh wait not to add fuel to the fire but the latest mag test of a X vs a 135 showed that both are great but the 135 was better. Not a big fan of the X. Give me the 335i
You are right the evo is not really targeted at you, it's more of a hardcore track car, and no where near a luxury car, it's not meant to be. If you don't want auto, you could always go for the much cheaper gsr which goes for 35k w/ navi, so it's still about 10k cheaper than the 335. No way does the handling performance of a 335 equal 98% of a evo x, they are just in a different league when it comes to that department. Don't believe the hype on the bmw service, they change your oil every 15k miles, you have to pony up for the other ones if you want to change it every 3k miles.

The x was also 4 sec a lap quicker than the 135, they picked the 135 because of it's good straight line performance. If that's your forte, than the 135 is your car. But I prefer handling over just straight line speed. To match the lap times of the evo, you would need an m3. Now if it was a choice between the evo and m3, then I would say m3; but I would still miss the traction of awd.

Back to the op, Sam said they already have the vin#s, and should be at the dealers before the end of the month. Can't wait to see what kinda smashing he does on the MR; 35k and minus the 1k in rebates I'm eligible for would be a sweet deal for me if Sam can smash that **** good.

I really doubt that the Evo 10 MR will be out in June as the IP suggested. The article states:

"Both 2008 Lancer Evolution models will be on display at the 2008 Mitsubishi Owner's Day taking place in Cypress, CA on July 19, 2008."

IF they come out in June, why would they bother to mention that they will be on display? Wouldn't there be many proud owners already there with their new 10 MR's?

At those prices, you'll be able to view them (and the GSR's) at a dealership near you for for a long time. Mitsu's economic compass has been dropped overboard and the ship has run aground.

I dont dislike the X, but i just can't seem to justify buying the new evo for almost 40k when it is now heavier. IDK but to me you buy an evo for a couple reasons, and cruising around in luxury is not one of the things that strikes me when i think "evo." I agree for that price tag i'll spend the little extra and go with the 335i personally.

...IMO

I just talked to the service manager yesterday, and from what he said they are now expecting the MR's to be delivered to the dealer come mid to late September here.

For all those worried about the mr price, I'd say wait for the ralliart model. Will have the similar sst tranny and sub 6sec 0-60 times, for about 10k less.
you can get a brand new R32 from the dealer for 30k

and the interior is a bazzillion times better then anythng mitsu has

If I'm not mistaken, my sticker was $37,400 on the 2006 MR SE... so yes, $38k for a 2008 MR is not bad at all....

^SCM told me my MR would be here before the end of the month. Well, they said "They were pushing Mitsu, to get it by the end of the month", but if not then it will come the first or second week of June.

I can't wait!!!!! Whoooooo!!!!!

How long ago did you put your deposit down? I heard the first shipment for SC is 44 cars then 5-10 cars every day or so after that. They had 88 deposits down when I put my deposit in and they said there would be one there for me before the 15th of June.
