constant power.
didnt know where to post this but i didnt see an electronics section except audio so maybe i can get some help here.
anyone know a powersource that doesn't lose power while cranking? i know ignition doesnt, but i ran my electric boost gauges constant power to it and the gauge doesnt cut off when i cut ignition off. i have the 24-hour source run to my cig lighter fuse, but i need a power source that doesnt cut off during crank to tap into, preferably straight from the fuse box.
thanks Foo

I don't follow what you mean by "not shut off while cranking". Do you want an ignition on voltage source, or an always on volage source? It sounds like you want an always on, but then you say the gauges don't shut off making me think you want ignition on.
Depending on the design of whatever you are installing, the voltage drop at the battery due to inrush current at the starter while cranking the engine over may be enough to reset some devices even if they are run to full time power.
