everybody is discussing all the factors for ppl not buying evos except for the fact that ppl dont have jobs. with food prices soaring and unemployment growing ppl having bigger issues to worry bout and arent thinking about buying performance car unless it saves them gas money

 

Sorry c.e.o MEANS NOTHING! In the end hyundia is hyundia and mitsu is mitsu.It just means that if mitsu fails, that ceo will still have hyundia to make money

 

I saw the numbers on last weekend paper for July. Subaru is selling almost twice as many cars. I think Mitsu needs to start installing more AWD and more turbo drivetrains in the rest of their lineup and capture some of those sales. Mitsu has a dismal 0.8% market share.

 

mitsu just doesn't make anything really exciting except for the evo. the eclipses don't perform well and aren't the most attractive (mid to late 90s had the most attractive eclipses imo). 3k gt is out which was a great car. so what does that leave them? the really rescued the lancer with that redesign. the galant is ugly as hell even the 09....who cares?! and what is their SUV now...the outlander or sometihng? see i don't even know the name. crappy line up is going to bring crappy numbers.

the evo is great just really pricey and a lot of people with that kind of money are not really looking for that. they want their status dollar to stretch as far as possible like to bmw in a lot of cases. and really the only bmw drivers that the evo attracts are the one that either drive an M series or wishes they drove an M series.
