Evo X sells 315 units in June...Mitsu down 42.4%
I'm just curious why 300 lbs is such a big deal to you. Do you take these vehicles and race them competitively for money? If so I could understand your point, 300 lbs could easily be taken out by removing the passenger seat, rear seat, spare, tool kit, window washer fluid, sub, sound deadening materials, etc. Or you could invest money in a few mods because the 4B11T is responding extremely well to mods and get 50-100 hp very easily for relatively cheap and still maintain a good daily driver. This is a great platform.. those that want to DD it can, those that want a performance DD can, those that want an all out performance race / drag car can. It just seems like you are trying to be contentious.
Everyone has there opinons so why are some people here so sensitive? Back in the Evo VI days on this forum, we were upset that the evo went up from 2800lbs to 3200lbs. It seems like a different crowd now?
I'm just saying if
offers more bang for $ sales would be better. Lets stop the debates are respect each other opinions.
300 lbs is a big deal. Don't you remember the MR went so far as using an aluminum roof just to drop a little weight. When you drive on the track or auto X you can really feel the weight of the car and also works the tires harder If you are not into this kind of thing 300lbs or any weight would not matter.

I wouldn't really go that far and draw that type of conclusion from this sales data. The VIII and the IX sold at a very similar monthly sales rate over the past few years. But, the VIII did sell far better when it was first launched. So, the X is definitely a little slow coming out of the gates.
Is a bit of everything the economy is not doing good??? I dont know how, i really dont understand why people just stop buying but oh well. And oil prices are scaring everyone. Im sure people look at the price of the car combine with the MPG on the sticker and that it requires Premium fuel and some just dont know the real car, just look at those numbers.
I just bought mine today and couldn't be happier.

I was at the MOD (Mitsu Owners Day) Today and the turnout was less than last year. I have attended three years in a row. This time it was the least festive.
Rumors are flying about incentives coming for the Evo X. Again, these are just RUMORS. But that is the talk I heard at MOD.
Things are really bad when the announcer doing the raffle urges the crowd to tell the friends and family to go out and buy Mitsus.
Mitsu is in big trouble. The Lancer is NOT on par with other gas savers like the Fit, Corrolla, Civic, etc..., the Gallant is aged, few people want to buy CUVs and those who do will pick the RAV4, CRV, or Forester over the Outlander. Mitsu needs an EXCELLENT sub-compact car FAST.

I wonder what the July numbers will be.
I hate to see mitsu struggle
I think a very smart idea for them would be to bring over the "i" or some other super small "euro" car, we dont have any and someone needs to man up and do it. I bet once people see a 50MPG sticker the word will spread....
