Evo X sells 315 units in June...Mitsu down 42.4%
maybe those cars are just better.
some people really are made of money lol
EDIT: im exagerating when I say twice as much BTW
An AWD Escalade goes for $60k w/o the 7.5k option package. That's 2x as much cost wise and probably 1/2 as good mpg wise. The RWD version goes for $56k w/o the 7.5k option package.
I bet a lot more RWD escalades have been sold than EVO's.

yep I see them all over the place.and range rovers, even those giant f350 pick ups.
Me: I got a new car.
Person: What is it?
Me: It's an Evo X
Person: Never heard of it. Whats that?
Me: An Evolution 10 from Mitsubishi
Person: (Blank stare with no response)
Me: It looks like the new Lancer but a little bigger
Person: Never seen those. Congrats on the new car.
I really cant tell you how many times this conversation has taken place. NO ONE I talk to knows what a lancer is, never the less an Evo. I've only seen one 08 lancer on the road, still havent seen an Evo X. Maybe this is why Mitsu is hurting so bad with sales. Dealerships are very few and far between. If you can find one they often look like complete **** and treat you the same way. Im honestly glad Mitsu sales are down and hope they are hurting. Im going to be taking the mitsubishi lettering and triangle off my car. Love the Evo but hate the company. Thank god for great aftermarket support and shops. The only plus side of this is knowing I have a rare car I wont see all over the place.

wow seems like you guys in the US have a lot of over stocked evo x's. Since all i am hearing is how they are quite cheap and that they aren't selling much. Here in Canada it's QUITE a different problem. This is the first evo available here, besides importing a first gen evo. Evo's here are soooo rare that the only time i get to see one besides my own is at meets. The dealerships here have the evo's sold a long time before it even gets to the dealership.
I just went to the dealership again yesterday and all the evos (witch are like only 2) are sold and waiting for the customer to pick them up. On top of that the GSR were soo in demand that instead od having MSRP of $42,000.00 and change. They were charging a little over $50,000.00 for bone stock GSR and they were still flying off the shelf.
I wish i could go to the US and get my evo there you guys get more options then us and pay A LOT less since our dollar was on par with yours. You might see a lot more ppl form Canada going down to the US now, as for a week or 2 ago the bumper laws have changed to be more inline with you guys in the USA. So more evo sales for you guys in the USA.

oh and as for what malves85 said for ppl don't know anything about the evox. I and a lot of other Canadian have found out the same thing. Most don't know what it is and thing you just did a few body mods to your car. Then either i explain to them what it is or if i am on the road i just SHOW THEM

I dont have any sympathy
Few years ago when evo VIII came out (2nd year -2004) , I went to take a look
and maybe testdrive because I heard some good things about the car. It was the 2nd year of the car.
I asked the dealer for a test drive and his repsonse was" we dont let people test drive because most people pretty much know what it is and its fairly expensive."
That would have been fine if I was driving a POS lancer or if I was 17, but I wasnt, I was in a new infiniti FX 35. My response was " good luck, you have a got a lot to learn".

Tough month for Mitsu overall selling only 7,494 units. Down 42.4% vs. June last year while the industry was down 18.3% vs. June last year.
Evo X sales so far this year...
April = 364
May = 351
June = 315
TOTAL = 1,030

FWIW, they aren't selling as fast as the dealer would like, but they've sold five of the six they've received. This is in a medium/small town where the Subaru dealer moves one STI per year.

Very weak market + new model = Poor Sales.
I'm sure as the economy picks up and as gas (hopefully) starts to decline more new car buyers will show up. Given some of Mitsu's warranty practices and my inability to leave a car stock...they could dry up and blow away and I probably wouldn't notice...

What about January, February, and March? My local dealer here in WI got their first shipment of Evo X's on 1/31, so I'm sure the West coast had them for at least a couple weeks in Jan.

If you can find out the numbers sold in Jan-Mar, please post them up. Numbers might be relatively small since pricing was only released on 1/11 and the vehicle roll-out across the country was relatively slow before cars hit the east coast. Some parts of the country didn't have cars on dealer lots until late Feb or early March IIRC.
