Understanding ASC: What it does and reported problems & codes (thread merge)
The prototype #2 customer just left here. We'll analyze his map and see if we can find any variances since he has NEVER got the ASC light.
The nicest part of all of this is that every ZChip user is able to login to www.zchip.net and download updates, trade maps, self tune and adjust at their leisure.

Quick update after getting a few minutes with an ASC compatible CAN scanner.
ASC:
U1417- Implausible coding data from engine
C121c - Torque reduction request signal rejected
Engine:
P1235 - Mass Aiflow Sensor Plausibility ---Note, I had tweaked boost levels higher before this code set, so it may not pertain to the ASC issue.

I've already said .. there is alot of communications going on with the engine ECU and the rest of the accessories .. the SES light is probably due to signal mismatch ..
If you wonder why I know .. search for my posts on disassembling the X ECU .. and NO I am not guessing
Also ASC /ABS is part of SAWC ..you remove ASC totally .. you actually revert back to older gen evo SAYC / ACD combo ..
Weather is turning cold .. you guys are going to get alot of this airflow mismatch crap soon
my car did the same during free rev so i just dont free reving anymore but my car never threw code while hard driving. so i am sure its little bug mitsu need to fix or give reflash for the troubled ecus...
There is a Torque / Airflow map on the stock ECU ..

Ive been beating the **** out of my GSR all week w/o any issues.. I cant imagine what is causing that pesky light to come on for you guys with the z-chip..
I hope addressing the ASC issue is still a priority.
My X is decommissioned for now, though.. Did a single pull from 0-80 & ASC warning popped on, accompanied by a loud noise & massive loss of trans/xfercase fluid, whining noises & a glowing red turbocharger..

Unfortunately, I am not. The X has already been turned over to Mitsu in Dallas for repairs. Estimated to get it back Wed..
Note: It was night, and the turbo was glowing, which *may* be normal, I don't know. TTP may chime in on this one. This is my first turbocharged vehicle.
