My car has been at the dealership for almost a week now because of this issue. Definitely not normal.

Take it to the dealership, so they could keep track of how many cars are being affected.

i have not done any of the reflashs. i got my car 22 feb 2008 and it hasn't been back to the dealership yet. hopefully it won't have to. so i assume it hasn't been reflashed yet.

I think more and more people are going to get the same problem. My tech at the dealership told me that there is a technical bulleton out for this problem, and one of the cause is loud exhaust. I really don't think that's the case, especially with so many members here with after market exhaust.

According to the manual you should bring it back to the dealer for inspection.

Same exact thing happened to me while cruising. I figured it was just a reminder that I drive a Mitsubishi...

true it is a mitsu. well it happened two more times on the way home from work approx. 16 miles. it did it once and at the next stoplight i came to a stop at it turned it off and back on. it when away but came back in a few miles. doesn't seem to hurt drive ability all be it no ACS. looking at my milage it happed almost exactly at 4200 miles on the dot. prob has nothing to do with it but interesting.

It doesn't seem like it hurt the drivability, but take some sharp corners and see if the AYC is working.

I'm pretty sure, my AYC is not working properly when I get ASC Service light on.

Dude, any information would be much appreciated. I'm picking up my car today, they couldn't figure out what's causing it. I'm also going to put some stock parts back on to see if the light goes away.

Hope you have better luck than I do.

gotrnet, Did all of this start AFTER your fog light mod? I have a VERY STRONG suspicion that its somehow related to the grounding system on the X and the CAN-wiring...
