Glad to hear that it's not related but that sucks that that happened to you. Maybe you just got a bad computer that went out, who knows. Let us know what ends up being the problem and why the computer went bad or how the programming got screwed up. Good luck man.

Please don't waste your time trying this, or a pipe bomb, it will be a complete waste of your money and time.... The X has proximity sensors at each hub. Centralizing your sensors WILL NOT WORK.

Maybe it does for the lexus, bimmers, toyotas out there.. but it DOES NOT WORK FOR THE X.

Problem with ASC

I'm not having luck with my car right now.

After driving around 1,500 miles, stupid computer decided to disabled the ASC.

Using the buttons inside it is not possible to switch them back on, so I have warning lights flashing at me which is very annoying. And it seems to have also disabled rear AYC.

I took it to Southcoast Mitsubishi, and it's been sitting there since last Saturday. They can't seem to locate the problem. Someone mentioned something about sensors but they don't really know and it's not fixed yet.

Anyone else have this issue? I know two other members that have similar problem, but they too didn't have any luck.

Would be gratefull for any tips or help and will keep the form updated if I find out anything or manage to get it fixed.

I just spoke to Rigo at SouthCoast Mitsu, and he said that loud exhaust can cause these lights to come on. I don't know how valid this statement is, but that's what Rigo read on the technical bulleton.

What other members have had this problem? I haven't seen anyone chime in in this or your other thread that you started about this. I hope that this isn't a widespread issue, but I'm sure that there's a simple fix for this. It is probably just a bad computer. Did you try resetting the ecu to see if this was just a glitch? Did you install any electronic device that might have caused a short circuit? Any ideas?

South is just keeping it for a few days to have fun. The car is fine, but they need to mention the word sensors in order to have it (the fun time) covered by Mitsu.

I wish that's the case. I really need to have it fixed before the Time Attack.

Do me a favor and ask "RIGO" if your car is exhibiting the same symptoms that mine had back in January when I first got my X... Antolin's red X back in jan/feb...

Im curious if they're the same symptoms....

My car went back to Southcoast 3 times for a similar issue... miraculously, the symptom went away on its own...

Also, does it happen just as you press the brake about 15 minutes into the drive? ABS and ASC disables?

Yeah!! That sounds like what I'm going through. Someone told me that it might be because of dirty sensors. I'll definitely ask Rigo. Thanks for your help.

ASC Required Service

on my way in to work this morning i was cruising (not accelerating or decelerating) at about 60mph on a flat straight stretch of road i was only about 5 miles from my house. it had rained last nite so the roads were wet but it was not currently raining. when suddenly my asc turned off and i got a service required light with a large exclamation point next the sliding car icon. i took a pic with my cell but it is a little blurry and it was trying to drive so please forgive. but it does give you the idea.

when i got to work i turned the car off waited a few seconds and then re-cranked it. it started right up and the light was no longer on. anyone got any ideas of what is going on or why?
thanks

i would have thought the same thing except i forgot to rest mine at 3000 miles (oil change) and now when i crank it i get a periodic service reminder for about 2 sec right after cranking it.so i am assuming it is not a reminder.

This has happen to me multiple times, and goes away upon restarting vehicle.

However It happens to me during acceleration from 3rd and 4th gear every once and a while.

There are other people on the forums having a similar issue.
