paintjob = $????
paintjob = $????
how much would a normal bodyshop charge a paintjob for evos? the whole car(engine bay, trims, whole body) maybe, or just outside(body). Any figures?
Why???? there are all colors availible somewhere in the US, shipping them from anywhere....maybe even from Japan, would likely be cheaper than painting a whole car (if high quality) from scratch.
It's really going to depend on the paint you want. Certain colors/pigments/qualities/etc are going to determine your cost. Your best bet is to run to 2-3 paint shops in your area, choose a color, and get a quote from each of them for the same color. Then you'll have your answer.
well...you can get a macco paint job for under $300...descent one for about $3000 or a nice one where they take all the pices off the car...such as doors, hood, trunk trim for about $5-6K...hope that helps...

I myself really wanted a corvette yellow X. They don't make it. It's very difficult to properly perform a color conversion due to the engine bay.
If someone could do it properly, I would change to yellow. Of course $$ is a factor

i work at a bodyshop for high end cars (Porsche, merc, Jag lexus blah blah blah) and for an all over incl. jambs/underhood and so on you arent getting away for less than 5k. Thats expensive, but logically thinking, youre getting a kick *** unique paintjob with high quality materials. However, for just an outside paintjob it runs about 2.5-3.5k. But you wouldnt want to paint your car orange and have blue jambs, thatd just be hideous and a waste on both fronts. What color were you thinking about? I can actually give a real exact estimate on my computer at work using my areas standard labor/paint rates.

If youre going to do that then get a PB evo. Flat blacking doenst cost as much simply due to materials, aka no clear coat. Well, some matte clear, but thats nothing to stress. Flat black looks great, Im a huge fan. I ran my 68 Camaro in flatblack for a long time and it just looked so BA. Also, you dont have to really do underhood paint if u have a PB car. For the most part cars dont come with cleared engine bays, firewall/rad. support/ fender jambs. So thats a good way to save $$$$. Need anymore info just let me know.
