Trade the X for a C55?
Its done-I drove the C on Friday night-was owner by saturday at noon.
I agree with Mighty-the lux is a great point-and the modding scene has gotten a little "qwerky" as of late. I'll be in the market for an Evo track car shortly, I'm sure of it. As for the E55, ect, we're getting a little off track again-those are not the same car. rear leg room in the C55 is better then the X, so I dont see that point. Aftermarket is spendy on the car (altho-Renspeed, Kleeman, and Brabus are warrantied by MBZ as well
). I'm thinking there isnt much that I need to do to it now (maybe the Rennspeed ECU upgrade-400hp for $1500 isnt too bad
)
The motor is great, the power is there from 2500 to red line. The tranny will take some getting used too-it holds red line before it shifts in comfort and sport mode (manual is insane...even for a 5 spd tranny). The pick of the C55 on here is dead on-but I have the 10 spoke AMG wheels on now (winters on the way). Mars red, slate interior-everything you can think of here in the us and EU is on the car (hence the opportunity-this is one of less then 500 in the states right now). That is not what I meant though as far as being greater. I just think the C5Z is the better choice for a fun car in that price range.
The X is a very specialized car and isn't going to compare with other status type cars. I have found that owning a second car with more recognition alongside the X really solves the argument of which car is better. It was an expensive solution though.
The EvoX is just so easy to drive..it just doesn't have as much stock punch as other performance cars, I'm always having to explain that to people when they ask me why I still own it now that i have a C6.

too skinny? Its what, a half inch narrower then your 350? Devalues....guys, I stated I dont know how many times....the cars are paid for-they have been for 10+ years......I'm not buying it new, I've bought it 2 years old, and with a new model coming out this year....I paid $1000 over auction for the thing-I dont want to compare car values on here new to new, yeah, a $60k MBZ C63 is a great car, but an 08 X is great too.....I just dont get some of the responses on here....

I am trading my EvoX for a C55. Only people that thinks it a good idea post.
I like to know what an MBZ means to the poeple on here, and what the X means as well. I have my own opinion on both, and as you can tell, I have changed my mind-but I want how someone feels about the car, not random #'s people pull out their two hole to compare the two-I can look those up too.....
Opionions I'm fine with-its when people start to spout the wrong numbers out thier mouth that frustrates me. How can you call the C55 narrower then an IS350? Thats the stuff that bugs me.

Yeah brother, MBZ forums and also my.is.net...I also have an IS300, slowest car i've ever own...
The Lower Lexuse owners think they're the sh*tz...there is two groups of them..the ricer/racer (they would add a turbo and big brake kit in their car and also add 20in rims 300lbs of speakers) and the rich poor man I am better then you(same people you get from the BMW forums

The feeling getting out of your C55 and looking back is something you will never get in your Evo I bet, its like walking out of a nice house where all the ladies are looking lol

E55 all the way.... Im 33 with a wife and two kids, bout to get the house. Need to act more my age So E double nickel it is. I am just watching the price drop to mid twenty's before i take the plunge. SUP MIZ.... Still getting worked by those IS-F's?
