Trade the X for a C55?

So, I've posted this on my local Evo forum-with some great input. I'd like to see what others have to say.
I've come across an oppurtunity to trade the X for an 06 C55 AMG. I know, two different world cars (in a sense).
I'm looking for something with a little nicer ride, and the occasional track day-something a little more "grown up".
Let me have it

I would probably go for the M3. I it's a better every day car and track car then the AMG.

hey man, it's your call. If that's what you want to get then go for it. The only unfortunate thing is that you're probably going to take a pretty big hit on your 08.

Wellllllllll...

C55 carries more butt-weight, but is nowhere near as raw on edge. Handles "poorly" and is "slow" (remember these are relative to a quick, great handling car).

The bigger issue is that you are going to take it in the pooper long and hard on your X.

if this is financially viable for you (which i can't see how it would be), do it.

just remember having a "pimp ride" isn't really that important in the big scheme of things.

best not to stretch yourself out too thin especially at this point in history.

I wouldn't do it. They depreciate a lot and they're very expensive to maintain/fix.
My friend has one, it's nice but I'd go for an M3 or a newer Lexus 350 rather than the Benz (even though 350 is not really in the same class).

Track day in the C55? Not exactly a great track car. But I guess it depends on what you need a car for...

I had an E55 and sold it for an X. (not a C55, but same 'type' of car). The E55 was just not a drivers car and was expensive to own (85 for a new cupholder, 150 just to look at the supercharger etc). It was a GREAT daily driver though, but there was just no joy in driving it. (other than all that monstrous torque).

I've driven a couple of C55's, not very fun, not even that great of an interior. I think the E55s are better all around, faster (love the torque) with a better interior. Both will cost you a crap load to maintain...are you unhappy with your X?

if you are thinking about it, then do it. If you were truly satisfied with X , it wouldn't cross your mind to trade it in for AMG .

Both are nice cars.
