E55 isnt bad....get the new C63-the car is bigger, and NA is WAY more fun-or splurge all the way for a S.
I've peaked at the C63 a couple times, got to go with on a delivery for one here in MN-its a great great car....but spendy right now. The nicest thing about the C is that I can get out, and I dont have a group of 5 17 y/o highskool kids asking me the dumest questions in the world, and taking pictures. I know, I put a ton of crap on the X to draw attention to it....but that was too much.

It amazes me how little the public knows about cars.....havent had a person yet nod, smile, or try and race me in the C.....its kinda nice.

 

The C55 is a great car but I hope you got a warranty. I had an ML 320 for a time and small, little stupid things always broke, I finally got rid of it. My friend had a CL 600, fantastic twin turbo V12, but after over $47,000 (yes $47,000) in warranty work in less than 1 year, he got rid of it. I wouldn't even consider touching one without a warranty unless it was a gull wing coupe.

Enjoy the car but get rid of it before the warranty expires.

 

My opinion is the AMG is fast . But who cares?
where i live so many of them it is dime a dozen.
If you want to have a "sleeper" car for straight aways the AMG will do.

But that is not me. I like the turns and exits too much to give them up for luxury.

the Evo and the AMG is not even comparable.

 

I had a C55. It was a great car. Perfect fit, refinement, power, class, etc. It has it all. I never had one issue with it either. If you have any questions shoot me a pm. Good luck.

The C63 will rape the Evo X in any turn just like the new M3 or RS4 or even the c6 Z06, they are more of a track cars then drag cars. Look it up.

Off road, the EvoX is NOT a rally car, so it isnt in the same class as the Evo 1/9....just like Bruce Lee the Evo X never won anything big

I track my E55 vs my Evo...and the numbers are pretty close

Also you said where you from benz are dime a dozen...who cares, if you wanna be the only one then buy Green geo metro, I've never seen one of those on the road...

I've owned 4 bens and not one of them broke down on me.

I've also owned 4 Toyota and 2 Lexus...of the 6 4 of them over heated on me.

In my eyes, Toyota are trash, I see more of them on the side of the freeways anyway..

 

Speaking from personal experience, the benz are nice but becareful when the warranty is up. cost a ton when you take to the dealer to diagnose an electrical problem. Both brands are good, just a hit or miss for problems for both brand of cars.

 

I have to say I do like your Benz. I'll take one in black please.

The car is not even a year old
Won couple TT and other events did at least two track record. But i'm sure not even one of those event any other evo showed up. Won the USCC in 08. Etc.

Any other your comments just would go to internet pissing match. I know AMG i drove the Evo 2 amg i bet you are not .
that was a great car . but the cosworth was better, not to mention my Integrale.
So i had good cars too.

But for the track , for me the cheapest and the best performance is the evo.

I can do this all day linking dumb sh*t about how c63 and many other cars that can track really well and how it can school the EvoX but i am not going to...btw there's even a link of an 92 Civic winning an Evo on track.


Try looking up C63 track times, m3 (E92)track times, and RS4 track time and try to realize these cars arent made to look pretty

Also you clam that Evos are fast/cheap cars...more power to you but I have money to blow on fast/nice cars. (same reason why people trade their evos for 911, cheap isnt all that when you have money)

You got to admit , end of the day, the Evo is a cheap , reliable fast track car, With easy work on and very clean engine bay or drive train to work on.

So it is a great track car. Mean while the AMG and the Audi or the newer M3"s aren't. And so on.

They fast, But they are complicated, as soon as you modified them they are getting little harder on the valet and the work on at track side.
Etc.

If i can afford the have a track car besides my DD why would i need an AMG or other like that, when the Evo does a same? Not to mention for the $ vs $ actually it does better? That is nothing to do with you have money or not. Unless you are unlimited which is i'm not.
That is why i do not have a Porsche neither AMG.
For my point of view is a waste of money. Could i have one ? Yes i could. But rather i spend that money somewhere else.

Also the C63 and those cars will not rape a tuned evo in racing by any means on road course - autoX or rally, unless its oval, drift or drag

So i pick cars for my own entertainment, wich are far from drag or highway pulls /4dummies/ neither drift or oval race.

So i'm happy with the Rally car breeds.
Fact is, i rather get a STI or a turbo miata over the AMG for track purposes.

those AMG's , M's and RS or S cars are beautiful and fast cars. But not really exiting for me. as soon as i see how my valet start shrinking with them
