Sport interior package
Hey everyone,
I'm considering purchasing an Evo within the next month or so if things work out correctly. I definately know I'd prefer a WW GSR with SSS (just for the HID) a few questions I have are.
1.) I only really want the HID would it be cheaper to buy it separately and convert or just get the package?
2.) I keep hearing things about this sport interior package what is it? I don't see that option on mitsubishimotors.com can someone please post pics or links to a pic?
Thanks,
- jose

I believe the sport package is just a new shift knob grip and a new parking brake grip. I would just buy the HID and install them separately it's not too hard.
However, if you are into the spoiler/sub thing then I'd go with the SSS.

The HID projectors brand new will probably cost you the same, if not more as the SSS package. You could go to the cheapo route and get plug n play HIDs, but you might run the risk of blinding oncoming drivers because the non-SSS housing was designed for halogens, not HIDs.
sport package is a rip off .... 650 ?!? or something like that for a shift knob and a hand brake handle?? NUTZ!
if you think about it the SSS will cost more at the end of the loan , This is the rule : for every 1K = $30 bucks a month ....+ the interest of the loan.
so, if you get a regular GSR , get HID's and a used spoiler will cost you under 1K thats what i did . Total to have hid's and the tall spoiler about 600 bucks.
my 2 cents

You guys forget the SSS also adds the FAST key system which I find pretty convenient.
Also, as mentioned above. Non-SSS doesn't have projectors so if you put HID into the reflector housing the beam pattern will not be very good.

you have to explain the math to me on that one. I understand that you will pay int on the higher amt financed-but where do you get $30 a month? Thats completely dependent on the rate and term of the loan. And assuming he wouldnt put the AM HID's on a CC at a potentially higher rate-but lower monthly payment.....
the SSS for me was a must because i think the fast key system is def one of the most intuitive ideas to come to the automtovie industry... the factory HID comes wit bi-xenon which is another must... i got the navi too just because i didnt feel like spending money on an aftermarket system... i found the aero kit and interior package completely useless because 1. alot of the afermekt aero kits/lips are better 2. same goes for the interior package... just me 2 cents
