Who would sell their extra key to their car on Ebay? I would think you 'd have to go to the dealership to get that repleaced...

I'm pretty sure it's in the manual on how to program it yourself. I may be mistaken but I think I remember reading how to do it.

The key reprograming in the manual is if you replace the battery in your car. Its not for a totally new key.
I would call mitsu and the dealership just to see what they say.
You might be S.O.L on this and have to buy a new one. They are pricey.

Just a newbie question does no one ever go back to where they brought the car and dropped 30-40 K and say hey cut me a deal on a new key ?
That's what I did. Dropped the car in for its next scheduled free service and hey came out with new key in glove box.

im not 100% sure. but if you program and key to a newer model mitsu. then that key can only ever be used for that vehicle. so i wouldnt buy one online if i were you.

i think you also have to have the stealership to deprogram the lost key? i mean wouldn't the car have some info about the key and not just the key? so you should just going and request a replacement (try to get it for free. if you ask you might get, but if you don't, you never will)

best way to not lose your fast key

hang it on your neck (lanyard) lol
