ETS Exhaust Questions

I have been looking at exhaust systems for a while, comparing, listening, looking etc. The ETS exhaust has caught my eye, but I have some questions regarding the system.

1. I noticed the exhaust system uses various types of clamps. If I do go with the ETS, should I just get the exhaust welded together instead of fiddle farting around with clamps cause I know clamps can ultimately lead to exhaust leaks?

2. Hows the sound inside the car? Drone? Is it annoying?

3. Is there a big performance difference between the magnaflow and the ETS merge collector?

4. Whats the weight savings over stock?

5. If anyone out there has the exhaust, what are the pros and cons you have experienced?

Thanks in advance!

^ Did you end up welding it all together or are you still using the clamps?

I don't have a X but i did install the system on my friends car and have ridden in it a number of times.

1.A: The clamps will work fine and if tightened down correctly will not leak, but you can always weld everything together if you want.

2. No drone and its actually not very loud inside the car.

3.The merge collector i really don't know give ETS a call.

4.It does weigh quite a bit less than stock but i didnt weight them both so i cant give you the exact weight.

5.It sounds great, fits perfectly, great quality, and ETS has great customer service. you really cant go wrong with this system.

1. A lot of cars use clamps. If done properly they won't leak.

2. Exhaust is louder at lower rpm. Only time I don't like it is when stuck at certain speeds, 60mph comes to mind, it gets kinda loud and annoying.

5. I like the sound and the performance. The fit was not great, the exhaust rattles sometimes because it is hitting one of the braces under the car and the tips are not even out the back.

I had ETS for a while. I really loved the sound. It's very aggressive. But it's pretty loud with a test pipe. So if you're planning to get a test pipe, make sure you like loud exhaust sound.

In terms of quality and build, it's one of the best.

I was planning on getting a test pipe, so thanks for the test pipe advice. Looks like I will be looking some more. But man, I really like the sound of the car idling.

yeah you just have to lower it a little bit, that the only think i dont like about the exhaust is how low the tips are.
