Anyone else holding out to buy a new X?
theres no doubt theyll offer something past 3/2. i couldnt see the jacking the prices back up after tomorrow. theyll either continue the offer or make it better.
They are trying to get rid of the 08 stock for the 2010 stock that will be coming in a few months or less. Deals will continue, but the matter of fact is you are still buying a car that is almost two years old at that point, so once you drive it off the lot, there goes more money down. Now I know some people dont care if they plan to keep a car for 4-5 years.
I am personally, looking for the 2010 EVO X, just because I don't want a 2 year old car that is new and been sitting on a lot. I don't think too many things will change for 2010, beside minor appearance detail and im sure some ECU remapping that's about it.
But, either way, if you want a awesome deal buy now or soon, if you want a brand new car and less of a deal I guess you have to wait for a 2010 and then have a higher resale value later down the line. However, with the economy going this bad, Mitsu will offer incentives for the 2010 as well maybe 0% APR or something like a discount upon launch.

Tax deduction for buying a new car. The stimulus law also gives a tax deduction for sales tax if you buy a new car (not a used car). To qualify for the tax deductions, you must buy a new car under $49,500 between the date the law is signed and 12/31/2009. There’s also an AGI limit of $125k (single) or $250k (married filing jointly), and a phase-out range of $10k. You can take advantage of this whether you itemize your deductions or use the standard deduction.
anyone recently bought a car & done their taxes? im wondering how much this 'gives back'?

90% sure...
I started the ball rolling to buy a 08 after buying a new 09 Outlander a few weeks ago. But now I'm having a hard time with the idea. I know the 2010 will be tweaked here and there, but more importantly it will be a 2010 vs. an 08. That will be big in resale vs. the 08 and it's minor teething problems.
So...I'm still on the fence, but slowly leaning towards the 2010. It won't be a terribly long wait and I have a nice 2007 Legacy Turbo to drive for the summer.
