Anyone else holding out to buy a new X?
yeah, that's true, i guess you will have to see when the new ones come out. If there wont be any major changes it might be better to get a 08. But its all speculation now, im sure some more info will slip out from Mitsu soon enough on the 2010 they can't keep it under wraps for so long. Either they are hiding some big change or they are trying to sell the 08's and keeping the 2010 from the headlines.

I am pretty sure they design the cars so that it doesn't take but a few tweaks to boost performance in response to the market, or what their competitors do. It wouldn't take much for Mitsu Heavy to squeeze out a new turbo, or for Mitsu Electric to produce a hotter ECU, or Asahi to give them thinner glass, and so on and so forth. A bunch of little tweaks could add up to produce a measurably better car worth waiting for if you want to buy new. Or it could be no big deal to buy an '08 left over and upgrade to newer parts. That's why these cars are so much fun. That said, I'll be waiting for the '10s.
As good as all the offers are right now, I just saw a EVO X GSR sell on ebay for $23,000... I go to basic on the 15th or April going to wait till the summer to see what they offer, and if it isn't something fantastic, oh well I will just wait. I doubt the economy is going to make a big change in the next two months

You're probably better off skipping the X and waiting for the Evo XI.
It'll have 10 more horsepower and corner with a bit more tenacity. It'll be 150 lbs heavier, but safer and more comfortable and a better daily driver. Won't quite have the "edge" that the X does though but it'll compete head to head with the 140i and pull people out of BMW dealerships. I would definitely hold off.

^^^ what lol........ mits have a very obvious track record, my guess is there going to do the same thing that they alway did with the previous models. new color maybe play with the turbo a little bit and try and fix a few bugs, but its definitely going to be small stuff

the US evo X has the same packaging from overseas evo X's. unlike when the then new evo viii came to the US, there were no AYC, ACD and other features. That is why with all the promotions offered by mitsu it is wise to just get and grab one than wait for the XI or XII for that matter and enjoy it now. Its been a year and we know that any minor glitches have been fixed already. no, I'm not a salesman, just an evo fan.
The EvoX sold in switzerland offers 4 versions,GSR 5speed or SST,MR SST only, and just announced aGSR homologated for competition and street legal weighing 70kgs. less. They removed all creature features etc.All EvoX's come with xenons and rotate when turning the steering wheel! The lightened model is called an RS of course!
