I am on hold to buy the x. Maybe I will even get the XI haha. The main reason is that I may be moving soon, & I mean another country, some 7000 miles away.

Would have been long gone hadn't the credit crunch hit at this precise time.

Should everything goes as plan, I hope I will be able to get the X next year, around before winter.

Wish me luck

Technically, I'm not a hold out b/c I won't have the $$ for a couple of weeks, but even if I did have the $$ now I'd be holding out.

Mitsubishi needs to issue a huge incentive like Subaru did on the STI - as much as $7k back to the dealer per STI sold depending on sales volume. . .

I've been wanting to get this car since it came out and I could not hold it anymore specially with the deal I got!

31,900 EVO MR TECH with Mud Flaps. :-) 22 miles only but was classified as use since it was bought off of a failed mitsu dealer and was sold at auction from Mitsubishi. I did not get any of the incentives because it is supposedly use. LOL! I'm just glad we have good credit and I was still able to get a good APR considering today's market. So, take care of your credit and search search search for the best deals.

If I were you, and you were looking for an MR tech package print this AD take it to your dealer and start negotiating, try not to tell them that it is a use car. :-)

I got a good deal, better than most, but nothing like what people are reporting lately in the deal thread! Oh well, as long as the '10 model doesn't add telescoping steering I have no regrets. You gotta buy a car sometime.

Why wait? your missing all the fun. Just pull the trigger already. There are some pretty good deals out there. I got mine for invoice and 0.0% If they still offer the 0% that is a huge savings over the length of the loan.

We've been over this SEVERAL times. It could be a very small savings or negligible savings depending on the length of the loan. For some, negotiating a rock bottom price without 0% financing is the better deal.

Dude, i agree. Its only like what? 4 months away? If the 2010 is just a "refreshed" version with BS tweaks...then go for the X, but if the 2010 fixes some serious problems... go for the XI. Thats what im doing

Guys, with this economy and wanna have a green environment, imaginary cars like the XI are in the bottom of there list to develop.

Whenever the 2010 model comes, believe it or not those incentives will not be seen for a while and you will pay more for it than the 2008 EVO X. Who do you think is going to pay for all this stimulus package crap and bail-outs, that's right, US my friend by way of the taxes we pay. So higher taxes, more expense for your 2010 EVO.

Think about this, more likely your evo X will hold it's value a lot more now that there is no 2009.

Your choice might be just a Rally Art. A sporty but still more practical car than the Evo.

I dint think there was much that could be classified as "Serious" problems with the X.

The savings to be had on the 08 X outweighs the lower resale value of buying a year old car.

June and July will be the best months to buy the X. The economy will be worse and the 2010 model will be on the horizon, so dealers will have to move them. The only problem I see is getting the color and options you want.

FYI the new special offers from Mitsubishi are now on the website.

Only one addition, which is a combo of the APR + rebate... either:

$2k off like last month

0.0% APR for up to 60 months, just like last month

OR

$1k off + 2.9% APR for 60 months

As we've all been saying for a long, long time, I'm going to get this out of the way so that it doesn't need to be said over and over again. The best deal of the 3 depends on how much you put down vs how much you finance. The best deal also depends on what financing you can qualify for. Not everybody can get 0.0% and also, not everybody is going to finance a single penny on this car.

I'm going to see what kind of price I can haggle in a few Midwestern dealers... they seem to have somewhat limited stock (1-3 evos per lot).
