sigh.... I have an VIII, and after a minor mishap in which my undertray got fudged, I ran w/o it, besides, I have a huge FMIC.........
so, I noticed at high speeds (i.e. over 100 mph), that the front end got a little more squirrley, not a huge amount, but I definately could feel a difference. needless to say, I spent the $$$ to buy all 3 pieces, and put that back on, made new FMIC brackets, so I could mount it higher etc.
