Best position

F (front part of a seat)= +0 (same hight as original)/ +15mm higher, R (rear part of a seat)= +25mm/ +35mm higher. Only for OEM RECARO seat. Please choose it for RH or LH. If the car is for USDM (LWD), please choose LH.

Low position
F = -0/ +25mm R = +5mm/ -20mm. Only for OEM RECARO seat. Please choose it for RH or LH.

No doubt! I'm 5'9" and I was crunching my neck to fit a helmet between me and the roof last weekend.
Another part of the problem is the crummy ergonomics - if you try to tilt the seat back to free up some extra room, you either can't reach the wheel (very bad in an autocross.), or you're crammed into the pedals (also bad in an autocross!).

Because your Jetta wasn't designed with the consideration of a 5-point harness and high level dynamics - a height adjustable seat has the potential to create freeplay (not to mention increased weakness) which means your harness will get looser while you're on the track with the load of a fixed belt on it.

So does that mean Best Position seat is higher?? Why would anyone want that?

...never mind, I guess its for short folks that can't see over the dash.

I'm still wondering if there going to be a proper steering wheel spacer that would put it 1/2" closer to me. I want to put the seat a notch further back, but then I'd need orangutan arms to reach the tiller.

Has anyone out there successfully lowered the OEM seats with something other than those HKS rails?
