I think you forget that around that time last year, the Evo X market was an extremely different place. The Evo X was being sold at a friggin' premium over msrp and members were having to pay through the teeth for any GSR's. I know I was planning on buying one locally, but they had them ALL for 5K OVER sticker and were not willing to negotiate AT ALL. No doubt that UT_Evo has a fully loaded GSR that he paid MSRP + TTL to equal out to the 42K. If he had waited a year, he could have saved 10K off of that price but again the opportunity cost of that is not being able to drive the Evo X for a whole year. 20% depreciation is about right for the first year of ownership of the average new car and buying right before a significant recession just made that much worse. At the moment, even my Evo X is probably worth close to 22K or less, if i were trying to get rid of it.

Your right but remember because they didn't produce any 09's it helps to retain the value of your 08. If they don't produce any 2010's the value of your 08 may actually increase. It's all based on the economy, and demand. I would say supply and demand, but it's not mistubishi's unability to produce the cars that's holding them back. It's because of the economy that the demand is low, thus determing when the next supply shipment of EVO's will be.

contradiction

Read it again. You should leave the dealership happy, whether you get the actual car you wanted or at least a good deal to be able to hook up your new car.

You come in the forum asking for help and advice yet you turn on people that are on your side. Do whatever you want man... let me know if you need any other advise like picking whether to wear a black shirt vs. a blue shirt or any other petty stuff.

i rather upgrade the sound sytem myself and eventually get a sss wing and HID's (even if they aren't factory).

i rather have white non sss than a different color sss. again this is my opinion. other people might want the sss and not matter what color. to me the color was more important than having sss.

from the begining i didn't think it was a good idea for the dealer to install the SSS package. and after getting peoples opinions they also said it wasn't a good idea. i then came to the conclusion i rather get it without SSS.

the point is after i made MY decision on what was best for ME...i still get people telling me to do something else...thats what makes no sense at all. I got peoples opinions and took them into consideration and made my decision. So there is no point for people to keep saying. get a different color (when i rather have white) or to go find a white gsr sss (which im sure doesn't exist or is almost impossible to find)

and your idea...was probably the worst. get a different color evo sss and get it re-painted white. i rather get a none sss and upgrade the sound system myself, get a wing and down the line get HID's (i don't care if there not as good as OEM) and i it really doesn't bother me about not having fast key.

i've said that statement above plenty of times and that means i am happy with the none sss.

oh and by the way...when i pick up my evo. should i wear a blue or black shirt???

Why didn't you get it? I can go there in person and see if they still have it there since I live in Cherry Hill.

it was a demo. after my dealer told me that the one they found had 3,000 miles i called the one in cherry hill not knowing it was the same one. i spoke to the manager on the phone and he said that it has 3,000 miles and he used it as a demo. he said that instead of letting people test drive any evo x, they used the white one a test drive car so all there other ones had low miles.

to me thats even worsed than a used car. over 3,000 miles of people test-driving and driving the car for the first time, which means it was not driven perfectly because not everyone who gets behind an evo will drive it perfectly the first time. and thats 3,000 miles of that type of driving.

^ If it's well taken car of from the time you buy it, the wear and tear of test drives can be negligible, but you may be able to get them to knock a few grand off the price. Aside from that it still has full warranty.

All of that may or may not matter to you, but this is an opportunity to get an even better deal at a time when dealers are giving good prices already. I'm sure these guys will be fairly desperate to get rid of it, the 2010's will be in soon.

Otherwise, I recommend waiting 'til the 2010's come in and rent/buy a cheap beater 'til then. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry about your situation man, they really messed you over!

The HID's i can always get down the line. And i can find someone selling a white SSS wing hopefully.

I just got back from 6th ave. my boy is hooking me up and im doing full JL speakers, JL 10" sub (im not crazy bout bass so i just wanted something comparable to a factory sub and this will be better anyway), alpine amp, kenwood double din with navi/dvd/ipod. Even if i got SSS the navi package is seperate so i would of bought the kenwood piece too.

That will sound better than the SSS sound system anyway. the wing like i said i can find. HID's down the road i'll get. and the fast-key i can car-less.

i rather get a white evo so i think this is my best bet...cause if i settle for another color i will prob regret it down the road but after doing all the upgrades i should regret less not getting the SSS.

dealer told me the car will be ready to get picked up monday or tuesday...to me that means tuesday.

wish me luck...i think this is the better choice for me.
I hope through all the bs you went through from these guys you got a great price. I agree you can put a hell of a sound system in for less, but an aftermarket hid kit will never be as quality as a stock hid lights, plus will cost u a nice buck for a nice set of hid's.

aftermarket retro kits are nicer than the stock set up, but they cost between $1000 and $2000.

I'd wait for the 2010 #$%% That dealership. It always bothers me when people tell me they have bad experiences with the Mistubishi dealerships. My experience have been great but I only go to one. Get one from Jerry's mitsubishi in MD They will take good care of you, answer your questions, and they rarely allow test drives but you may be able to get one. they also will help you stay up on your services, and perform any warranty work, or service work you may need. Just don't BS them if your there to buy a car then buy one, if not don't waste their time. They probably sell the most in the area.

Any one in our area I would suggest that you check them out!!

Jerry's Mitsubishi Towson Maryland 1(410) 668-4200
Ask For:
Kris Beal , or James Shultz

Dan in Iraq sent you.
