still love it?
Evo VIII owner since September '04 and I just turned 90K miles today.
Mostly everyone is going to praise the evo for its handling prowess, stock power and brakes, abundance of available upgrade parts, etc....I agree with all of that...but for me, during the past 4 + years driving my evo I have come to a realization our interiors suck major *****...aside from the Recaros kicking ***, the interior has a lot to be desired. Compared to the STi, my VIII's interior is nothing to write home about. The headliner attracts outside dirt like flies on ****, the cup holders barely fit two reg size drinks, climate controls aren't that great and move with difficulty, my cig lighter stopped working years ago, the plastic scratches easily, instrument cluster could be easier to read, etc.....
BUT, aside from everything I just mentioned, I still love my evo and I happily live with it every day. I hope to keep it for many more years!

not many people can handle such a car for such a long time
im hopeing pull that off
ill take your example dude, mad props
Bought the RR X with SSS on January 3rd of this year and I look forward to driving it every time. Yeah, the dash rattles a little. Yeah the staple kept coming out (just fixed that today btw - took off the faux carbon fiber inserts and used needle and thread to sew the fabric together and it worked like a charm). And I wish there had been a leather option. But I simply love the car more than words could describe. No regrets...

). This is my 1st Mitsu and I care more about performance then luxury.... but damn this cheap plastic interior peices that mitsu uses everywhere are uber ghetto. I have rattles in the corner of the dash (front driverside) another one from the interior lights/map lights trim near the windsheild and probably a few more. The plastic tie for the gas cap (that keeps it attached to the car) broke the 1st week I had the car
, I had a check engine light (fixed steering position sensor) within the 1st month of ownership, My hood latch is about to break (recall just released), and I need to have another TSB done for a clunking sound at startup.
I love the car and dont regret buying it one bit, just make sure you dont care about the little things or you may be in for one frustrating time

hey guys, so ive been on here for a good two months listening to everyone itch bout things such as the recaro staple coming out and dash rattles and such
so my question is for guys who've had the car for a year or so
if you could go back and buy a different car would you and why?
if so what would u buy?
reason for my question is because i wana see if im gonna love this car more after i buy it/mod it or will i start hating it for its "discomforts"

from being an Evo 8 owner for 5 years and no upgraded to an X, i must say i love it to pieces. No problems at all, and enjoy the fact that i get all the fun driving excitement i got in my 8 along with alot of cool luxury-like tech.......also luv the fact that i got 0% interest....
Hmm..hard to say. I love the car and there isn't much that'll keep up with it. Everytime I'm behind the wheel it's a blast! The only complaint I really have is the tranny and crappy clutch. If they fixed it on the X then I'd probably consider it again. My ideal car though is the GT-R
I left my evo X at my brother's house for 3 weeks and his wife put 1000 miles on it. She really liked it, but she did ask why such a pricey car has such a basic interior. I explained that the content is all mechanical..moral of the story is that she would borrow it again anytime.
I still get major entertainment and utility from it...not bored with it at all.
