Junction - good advice, just a shame the OP only has/had liability at the time this happened

droppingbottom - same thing... OP did not have home security when this happened

Ok just read most of your posts. So you didn't have comprehensive. I am with you. Things happen you learn and do your best to prevent them from happening in the future. Here is my story that is related

I bought a condo and got a alarm system right off the bat. That wasn't enough since I was broken into within 6 months and my mac and xbox were stolen. I needed bars on my windows. So I did that. Then they broke my door in my back door and stole my mac again. So I fixed that door. Then they busted down my front door in attempt to steal my TV but since I had a lock on the back door which required a key from both sides... they got nothing! Oh and somewhere in between all this my Evo 8 was stolen from my parking spot which wasn't secure. Now I have gated parking.

My condo and parking are similar to Fort Knox now So I reiterate you do what you can when things happen to prevent them from happening. No you can't go back and change things yet

Good luck with your situation!

So my goal is to get the car back on the road-I can't climb into a time machine and redo everthing (yet)

dont you have to register to run in the baja 1000? Maybe if you contact the organizers, you may be able to get some type of info about those *******s. Even a picture of them on the starting line.

Yeah I knew that. My suggestion was that since he had not had the home security for more than 30 days he can get a refund and out of his contract. Then take the money and invest into his own home security system that will be far better than the one he has. If he does decide to stay with what he has I suggest getting cellular backup for it as all it takes to disable the security system is to cut the phone line.

IM SORRY BUT I DISAGREE I WORK FOR ACOM PROTECTION AND MONITOR THE ALARM SYSTEMS BUT THERE ARE MANY OTHER WAYS TO GET A SIGNAL TO US. THEY CAN HAVE IT NOW WHERE THE SIGNAL CAN COME TO US FROM THERE CELL PHONE... NOW THEY HAVE A ZONE CALLED PHONE LINE TAMPER AND IF IT IS BEING MESSED WITH OR TOUCHED IT WILL GO OFF

Also see if you can get your money back from brinks/adt. Invest into a home security system that you monitor with dvd backup. If you do stay with the brinks/adt get it hardwired. All it takes is someone to cut the phone line and the monitoring company does not get the signal.[/QUOTE]

I have decided to build her back up. Fix the rear suspension, put in the seats, rails and seatblets. If I am lucky that is all it will take. I let you all know more info next week. I will be getting either stock Recaros or Brides.
