I think people are just trying to look out for you. The last thing you want be some sort of money mule. For instance, does this guy have a valid reason for wanting to buy a car over seas? I'm sure he can get a LHD EvoX at around the same price where he is at.

You should at least take the time to google 'wire transfer scams' to see if this deal falls into that category.

Also copy and paste portions of the email into the google to see if anything comes up. Sometimes scammers use very well known scripts.

Finally, an over seas buyer for an evo x would probably know his facts about the car inside and out. It might be considered a red flag if he doesn't seem to be educated on the vehicle.

Be careful, and good luck!

Well, MR EVO X costs here approx. $70.000. I haven't read the thread carefully, but if you are selling your car and the buyer somehow can avoid taxes (for example if the car is totaled (but not totaled so much that it can not be fixed visually and resold to other person)), it may be a very good deal for a buyer to buy your car from USA.

we do quite a few wire transfers a week and so long as you wait for the money to post in your account you are safe. Once a wire is done it cannot be reversed.

It can be reversed and the bank can hold YOU liable for the money if it turns out to be a scam. I have seen this happen to someone I know who sold an item overseas.

IF its a wire transfer and the money is IN your account, you are good to go.
