Model Info: 2010 Evolution X
Your right, in a way. If the evo came with 200 hp, i might not have bought it, but then that would mean the price of an evo X would be alot lower than its current price. You statment is flawed.
I did not buy the evo because it has the most HP for the money. And i would certinaly not buy any car just becasues it has the most hp for the money. I bought the car for the WHOLE package. One of the reasons i bought the evo over the other cars listed is becasue what it offers as a total package such as Brembo brakes, recaro seats, S-AWC, "Forged" (edit) aluminum suspension peices, rigid chassis, bbs wheels, 291hp, navi, fast key, premium sound system, sst (tech savey), Turbo, awd, bilstine suspension, ect. Which car offers this much benifits for the price?
If you care about hp numbers and quater mile times then dont buy the evo X, cause the evo X can compete with other cars that you can get for the money in hp numbers and quarter mile times.
I dont know about you guys, but i will take a TURBO AWD car any day instead of a FR N/A car.

I find it funny how most of the people here that are saying that "horsepower isn't everything" blah blah blah, list mods in their signatures and profiles which increase their car's power. Contradicting isn't it?
I'm not saying HP is the most important thing in a car, but it damn sure matters.
Don't know why i'm getting bashed for bringing it up.

The Evo in stock trim is essentially detuned. It runs too rich. Many folks tune for a better running Evo. A bit of power gain is nice, but it's just not what makes the car special.
There are better engines out there, such as the motor in the 135 or 335. The STI engine is no slouch either. But the Evo's suspension and advanced computer controlled elements are what elevate it above most other cars. How many AWD 4 door cars can do what the Evo does? To kids the fact that a 335 will pull away from the Evo at speed is an issue. If you mod the Evo to be quicker in that arena, have fun. But it's NOT what the Evo was designed for.
I live in upstate NY. My area is full of smooth windy, twisty roads. There is also plenty of snow here and steep terrain. The Evo as few peers in this territory.
Now...if I lived in Arizona or LA, I might choose a different car, especially with longer, flatter and straighter roads.
EVEN if the Evo had 200 HP, it's suspension would still have people buying it and adding power. That's because the stock suspension electronics are THAT good.

A turbo AWD car will probably not last as long as a FR N/A car.
Last time I remember a GSR 0-60 was 4.7... a 370Z was 5.2 .... while the 370Z leaves the Evo X behind by 0.2 seconds, barely anything considering the 370Z's weight advantage and about 40 extra horses at the crank; I'd also like to see which car gets more horses per dollar when it comes to modding, I bet you the Evo takes it;
"stock for stock the 370Z will waste a EvoX"
Waste???? that's a harsh word, considering the Evo's able to walk all over an STI, 911 S, Lotus Elise, even the G8 GXP supercar and stand behind an R8 by a couple seconds on a track course;
Considering the fact that I can beat stock 350's with my fatty Ralliart... I don't see the 370 WASTING an Evo X...
A bit more research is always a good thing

And Yes the evo does lack in the HP department, thats why i added some power mods. As for suspension, i dont think i need any thing right now becasue its is just that good.
Power mods is easier to install than suspension mods.
Sorry yes its forged peices and not cast.
I'd hope they'd offer a sunroof, but wish it was available on the GSR.
So many people jockeying the Z, perhaps maybe start a Z thread and keep this "Model Info" thread about the 2010 X.

Even after reading the changes the OP posted, I think I'm still going to settle for the GSR. Mainly because of the transmission.
The MR model should be a more exclusive race-inspired model like the V-Spec is for the GTR or like the Scuderia is for the F430. After all, it does stand for "Mitsubishi Racing". To me it's more like a Special/Luxury edition(ex.Sunroof, extra chrome, etc).
Should've looked like this...
MR models Only
They could slap any sub-$45,000 MSRP on that and I'd take it!
*sigh*
One can only wish I guess.
Oh well, can't have everything right?

Should've looked like this...
MR models Only
- 330bhp
- Optional close-ratio 6-speed transmission
- Full Alcantara dash board (like prototype X)
- Chrome Exterior Trim delete option
- Rear Carbon Fiber diffuser
- Interior Carbon Fiber trim on dashboard and doors
- Fog light delete w/ air ducts for cooling brakes
- 50% less sound-deadening for weight reduction
- Star Wars Storm Trooper Bobble-head on dashboard for Wicked White color option

I hope those, who are arguing for 370z, have actually driven the car... Unless you are used to not having blind spots AT ALL, it is very hard, however I'm sure can be getting used to with time. The synchromatch would also take time getting used to. I like to make sure my car is in neutral, by moving side to side. However, with 370z, with clutch engaged, moving to the left tells the comp you want to shift either in 1st or 2nd, which results in it revving up the car close to redline while you are going 45 mph. The car did not feel that great on pick up either. But that's just my personal experience
