good to recheck upper struts mounts , sway links, and just for kicks look at your springs if any are broken in half, just some pointers

I have this same noise, but it's very random. Usually only hear it at low speeds. I will have to check those connections when I get my car back.

Sure will... I have the same clunk... I'll try fixing it when I'll do my next oil change.

Thanks for sharing.

Too long since the last post, LOL, sorry about waking up an old thread. looks like I'm just beginning to see this happening from the front passenger side at low speeds, more so when turning. I'm at 36K miles. Lets see what comes out of this.

Turned out to be the two bolts in the middle of the strut bar were about 1/2 & 3/4 th of a turn loose. Tightened those bishes up and most rattles & clicking noises are gone!

Has this mystery clunking been solved? For some, it still persist.

I have Hotchkis Sway bars, aftermarket endlinks and coilovers. All seem fine. But clunking still there...hmmmm

Mine was clunking because of the pass rear upper stablink connection (where it connects to the control arm. The nut was backing off and the connection was loose. Mitsubishi actually missed a washer and that's probably why it became loose. The nut had poor contact because it was a nut designed for a washer.... basically only a thin ring of contact.

The clunking started off here or there. Started happening more and more.

Anyways added a washer, tightened up, and no more clunking.
