FWIW, I bought my 2800 mile WW GSR for 25k a few weeks ago. Carmax offered the seller 22k. Just some real life data points.

Dude, are you not even reading what I posted.. yes, I need to save money per month... selling the Evo will very likely get me better insurance along with a lower payment as well as less money for maintenance such as the tires i'll need at 25k and the brakes I will need sooner than I would with a lesser performing car, there's a lot more factors than just that, if you don't want to offer something to my thread, then don't post here.

I'm sort of in the same boat. Fiancee and I are getting married next year and we're planning on buying a house at the same time. We're going small with the wedding so we can buy a nice house. Well I've had my car for almost two years now and I obviously bought it when they were pulling a premium, lol. So I still owe a lot on the car. I'm looking at getting a Honda Element or something a little cheaper because of your same reasons.

If I was you, I would just go cheap. Get a used Honda or Toyota for cheap and when things settle down, just get a bike and mod that. I wish I was smarter two years ago with my money, I would rather have a nice house than a nice car. I'm not fortunate enough to have both at the moment. :-( Good luck to you!

That's about the price the dealer would end up selling it for (or less), so I'm 100% sure they wouldn't give you that on trade. Probably around $20K. But see what they offer and let us know so we have an idea what they are paying for these - and can use it in negotiations

Oops, didn't realize I wasn't on the last page. This is the price I'm referring to in my post.

Wow, that's quite a deal. IX's sell for that from dealers.

Not too many 2010's will be made so after about a year, evox's might actually have some resale value when supply and demand changes to a more favorable ratio.

if you wanted to stay with i would say just get a Ralliart. your payments will for sure be less than 400 a month and you still get AWD and everything on your Evo just less power.

I had considered it, but like I said earlier, if I were going to do that I would go with the new WRX, it just impresses me more, BUT I am going to keep the Evo as long as I can and either hope for some good side jobs to come along, or look into refinancing... and then I could double up on the payments when I get a good month.
