Replaced steering wheel now service required

hello

I replaced the steering wheel with MOMO team 300mm, it did not clear the shift piddles because of the short hub adapter, so I put back the stock steering wheel.
as soon as i moved the car i got service required and ASC went off, I am 100% sure i put back everything as it was..
hmm any idea?

You tried pulling the code?

That would help narrow it down...

Did it instantly come on before you drove it? The fact that it has no codes makes me think it needs some type of relearn cycle. Try driving it and see if it clears itself.

Unplug negative terminal of the battery, tap your brakes, then wait 5 mins.. plug back in the battery and see if that fixes it.

it can be electrical related. i tripped the same warning/error when i wired leds into the brake lights. why? no idea.

if that's true, maybe your steering wheel position sensor is messed up?

It's your steering angle sensor that needs to be re-calibrated by the dealer. It happened to me
