Replaced steering wheel now service required

hello

I replaced the steering wheel with MOMO team 300mm, it did not clear the shift piddles because of the short hub adapter, so I put back the stock steering wheel.
as soon as i moved the car i got service required and ASC went off, I am 100% sure i put back everything as it was..
hmm any idea?

You tried pulling the code?

That would help narrow it down...

Did it instantly come on before you drove it? The fact that it has no codes makes me think it needs some type of relearn cycle. Try driving it and see if it clears itself.

Unplug negative terminal of the battery, tap your brakes, then wait 5 mins.. plug back in the battery and see if that fixes it.

yes instantly even in acc. , i tried off-on for a dozen of times with no luck

ok when I turn on the car I instantly get ACS off and sliding car icon with service required, when I move I get 4 wheel drivetrain icon with service required

do you think it is safe to drive the evo?

im having the same warning with my evo at the moment due to a transmission problem. my mechanic replaced the clutches but i still have the warning. im off to see mitsu next week when everything re opens but until then i don't touch the car. not really any help to you but if you can find a way to turn off the warning let me know

it can be electrical related. i tripped the same warning/error when i wired leds into the brake lights. why? no idea.

if that's true, maybe your steering wheel position sensor is messed up?

rechecked all connection and sensor position - all good
i guess i will take her to the dealer tomorrow

It's your steering angle sensor that needs to be re-calibrated by the dealer. It happened to me

took her to the dealer they cleared the codes and re-calibrated the sensor....boov they came back again...
they replaced the sensor and all good

yeah it needs to recalibrate the steering wheel angle sensor...

you probably broke the sensor when removing it?? i remember seeing something in the manual about that...
