Cars shutting off
Cars shutting off
I just installed ams front mount with uicp and licp today and have the ams intake that was already installed for about 2 months that ran with no problems. Now the car idles perfect when at a stand still but if I am driving and put the car into neutral the rpms lower and then get jump and it shut off two times. No check engine light tho. Im lost and the car is running fine besides that.
P.s everything was put on tight and secure just went over everything
update: 40mph under in neutral= choppy idel around 700rps and over 50mph=chopy then shuts off

Sucks to hear that your having issues with it.
I just now finished installing my front mount intercooler and upper pipe (the lower pipe did not fit with the AEM cai.. bummer)
Make sure that none of your fittings are loose, triple check everything.
I read on here that the clamps get loose after the car warms up to its normal temp, one thing that i did was after installing the fmic and upper pipe was to run around the block 3 times without my front bumper (i got so many stares and people pointing at my car.. funny), anywho, when i got home i re-tighten all the clamps that i messed with.
another thing you should do as well is unplug your negative terminal battery for about 25 minutes. After the 25 minutes connect it back up and start your car, don't rev it and let it idle for about 5 minutes.
let us know what happend
So far my car hasn't stuttered, the only scare i got was because i left a bolt somewhere in the engine bay, so while going down the street im guessing it fell and made all kinds of noise, i freaked out thinking i broke something haha..
