I kinda relate to what the OP is saying. I'm 29 and just sold my SC430 (which I felt to young for), to daily drive and an X instead. When I talk to people at work, they don't understand why I would do such a thing. Its at those moments I feel a little old for the car... To fix those moments, I just jump in Evo, and its like a fountain of youth.

45 here. Just installed a Greddy Comp-Ti last December and LOVE it!!! I am getting a tune at Works tomorrow and wishing tomorrow is already here

This car is amazing! I've driven Porsches, Lambos and by far this car puts the biggest smile on my face!

I notice people staring all the time... but whatever... I don't pay much attention anymore... It's usually my passengers that tell me people are staring.

I was looking at entry level BMW's and Lexus's when I bought my X... I realized mid 20's is when you buy your evo... and mid 30s is when you buy your BMW... so... I did the obvious choice

I'm 25 and I feel like I JUST got started. I get a lot of "your car looks like a transformer" lol...

Speaking of a comfortable DD, I had driven a lexus rx330 for about 2 weeks without any sight of my evo and I was going crazy the whole time. It was VERY comfortable to drive and very relaxed, but damn, I need a car that wakes me up not one that makes me want to pass out from comfort on the highway.

You're never too old to do what you love. And yeah, you only live one short life... Enjoy every minute of it the best you can.

I feel too young to drive a Evo, i am only 19 which is young but i worked my @$$ off to get the money to pay for it and it was all worth it! I will never want to sell mine even though i havent done much mods and plan to keep it this way i would never want to sell it unless i absolutely had to... which by the way will never happen... i would give up my house before my car! Also to the OP most people can not afford to buy an evo till they are 27 so you are doing pretty good...! People do stare alot which is kinda annoying but it makes you feel good when you see people (girls specifically) that are starring hard core!

I'm almost 42...and I will never willingly drive anything but a manual equipped, turbo powered, all wheel drive car....so naturally an Evo is THE choice.

27 is not even old!! I'm 25 and just got this Evo. I'll drive it until the day I can't drive anymore. This car is a blast. As for looks, I'm surprised I don't get as many looks as others do. Maybe because it's white and I'm in so cal.

I'm 31 and plan on driving the car for at least 4 - 5 years. You're never too old for an EVO.

Why do you (OP) care what other people think about your possessions?

I'll hopefully be driving an Audi, BMW, or AMG Mercedes when I'm in my late 20's early 30's. But I'm never going to sell my Evo

My dad is 67 and drives an Nsx and evo I'm 21, and 6'7" and drive an Evo and the NSX. So no you are not too old, nor too tall for this car. Just don't make the car "ricey" if that's your concern. Put some nice rims on it. Maybe remove the wing. N just make it a sexxy car.

I deal with high end customers and have a fully built 03 evo - mods below. I have picked them up at Ohare and driven them back to my dealership in my 2003 evo and I only had 1 person complain about how loud it was but once I explained why it was loud and I did a 3rd gear pull on 90 - he was laughing the whole way!!!!

its all about what you want - i don't worry about what other people think of me or what I drive. right now ive been daily driving a blue and yellow crx - don't ask, gonna be a track car but its ugly right now.

Every single one of my clients I drove in the evo ask for updates - pictures - and joke when they get to go on the next hell ride....

I gave the keys to my client who has invested well over $500,000 and drives a BMW M5 and has multiple AMG'S and gave the keys to let him take my car to lunch with his wife and he said he couldn't stop but laughing the whole time. Threw me the keys and said, crap that car is quick...

Your thinking WAY to much into it - if you present yourself well in it. Thats how you are treated.

if you dress with your pants around your ankles and a megadeath t shirt with a loud exhaust listening to rap music - you will get percieved differently.

I will never forget a cop pulling me over for no front plate and I had the windows just tinted...
He knocked on the window and had to open the door and he just sat there and blinked for like a min. before saying anything.

I was dressed in a dress paints shirt and tie and he said sorry I wasn't expecting someone like you owning this car.

bastard still gave me a ticket for no front plate but left everything else alone.

It's not you, its the society that we live in that label the Evo (a $33K - $40K car) as a kid's car. Its not until you drive it and see its worth compared to the higher end cars - as in performance, looks, handling, etc will they (society) understand. I felt the same way and I'm 33, but its not going to stop me from driving my Beloved Blue Beast!! Besides, being stationed overseas it's only in the US that the Evo is looked at in that sort of way...the rest of the world sees the Evo as a super hero (sorta speak) especially in Europe.
