No you dont have to put 1000 miles on a car before tuning.. We take them straight from lift onto street drive til they are fully warmed up, rerack and check for oil leaks and any issues and then dyno immediately..

My shop said they could do that if I wanted, they said we didn't need to do much but warm it up after the first start up, change oil, do some part throttle break in on the dyno to do vaccuum pulls to seat the rings and put a few miles on it then go nuts. (maybe one more oil change I can't remember)

It was more me wanting to break it in even though it doesn't need it from what I hear. I figured a few miles wouldn't hurt.

The cams give it a great sounding idle. I'm glad that I picked those up too

 

Wow, 500 + whp is definatley a nice accomplishment after the first engine went. Good story man, glad everything worked out for you.

God, today trying to drive to work with only being able to run 5psi or so (stock injectors for break in, only other ones I had besides my DW1300's) it was so damn hard to want to drive it slow. Car feels great though, shifts awesome too...I think the AMS front motor mount really helped.
