Car has been started and they have changed the oil twice now. It is running good so far and they have commenced break in!

Whatever news...I don't get to drive it yet

MORE GOOD NEWS...they will break it in on the dyno this coming week and drive it around monday and tuesday. They said it might get tuned as early as Wednesday or earlier even depending on when they have time I am out of town Mon-Wed which is why I wanted it today so I could break it in this weekend, but they are taking care of me. I WILL have dyno sheets next Saturday from our local DD dyno and our MAP's dynojet

WOO WOO!
Thats awesome man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why did they change oil twice already and dont you have to put like a 1000 miles on the car before tune?

I'll certainly try to help. I don't have the MAP kit, though...I did my own install of a different afpr. It's not too hard.

New cams and rings will shed a lot of metal. I had my motor built at the same shop. I think my oil was changed four times in the first 3k miles.

gotcha. I think what ill do is start the car and rev it for a little to get warm. change oil. let it idle for a while...let it cool off...idle and various rpms. change oil again and then fill it and drive 500 miles and change oil again. repeat this twice and hit the dyno

I think our shop's routine was idle for a few minutes and change, 50miles change, 500 miles change, and then switch to synthetic oil again at 3k. If you're only doing cams then not as big of a deal as a whole new motor. He has us run 10w40.

Maybe...I sent a few emails checking to see if they had numbers yet but haven't heard back. I am actually out of town currently (Kansas city) but they said they should have the car broken in when I get back tomorrow (last friday they did anyway) and maybe tuned. So for all I know they are tuning it now with the hours they have been working now.

I found out they plan to tune this Friday morning

So I will take a half day of work if I can Friday afternoon to get this beast to them

Man I can't wait. They have been driving it around breaking it in and also did some break in on the dyno as well. So it should be getting close to ready to rock already
