I really wish I was...but not so much.

I had to source a new oil pan last week unfortunately as after 3 hours of cleaning my stock one still had metal specks from the old motor going down. New one got to my shop on Friday.

We lost a day today for holiday, but I am really hoping my motor will go back in this week and this weekend I will be able to drive it.

The shop owner told me it will take almost two days to get the motor back in and buttoned up, so hopefully it is ready to go in now or tomorrow some time. The mechanic was working on putting all the timing components back on the new motor last week. I stopped by Friday kind of late hoping to check it out but they had checked out for the holiday weekend.

HOpefully some good updates coming this week.

Getting very close, I am guessing since he is working on the turbo that the other stuff is all done, so hopefully tomorrow stuff will start going in the car. Friday is looking like a bust since parts are missing But you never know!

Here's what my shop said today when I asked where we were at:
I am getting close. I want to get the turbo and lines all set up on the stand before it goes in because once it is all in the car the lines are a total PITA. I tried calling FP and was on hold for about 15mins and then just left a message. Hopefully someone will call me back soon. They don't even list that feed kit on the web site and there are no instructions. I've looked it over a number of times and the only thing I can come up with is that we are missing a couple pieces.

I'll have 1000 miles on it in a week easy and go ***** out 1 week after its done, thats the plan!

I can't describe my excitement, but after such a long wait time, 4.5 months almost now, it's hard to imagine it's actually done!

Going to be on the old No boost until I get tuned. Boosting while trying to seat piston rings, not a great idea. It will basically be like driving my beater still as far as speed just really loud

Would it be a good idea to drive it on the dyno to break it In?

That will be the first spot they drive it on actually, before I pick it up. Right when it starts up, it will drive right to the dyno.

Our builder does a few miles of vacuum pulls on the dyno before handing the car over. He actually left my old tune on the car and I started getting cocky after a handful of days and did over 30psi. hehe. There's nothing like being deprived of Evo and having one back.

I should enroll Dave in AA right now.

Stopped by DB...motor is very very close now, the missing parts from FP will be there Monday and probably Tuesday they will start putting it in the car I would assume, so next Friday is looking good for starting the car up

Snapped a few pics of the motor basically all buttoned up.

Rust spot, damn you MN winters!

A shot of the intake port, it looks like the did a good job porting it, i could easily fit three fingers in there, almost 4.

And I realized I haven't posted a pic of my actual car forever, so here it is...so Sad looking

Man, I can't wait to drive this thing...I am going to get them my stock injectors for startup just in case my DW injectors have problems like some have been seeing.
