Murlo26's Build from Stock to FPblack time :)
yeah that and a three port
I'm on evomn but that's it. when is the cookout? Where?
I'm excited for numbers, but most of all I can't wait for some times. I know you can't wait to run this thing down the track. This has been a fun build to watch, you've been through a lot with this car in what seems like a short period of time. Are you planning on driving it this winter at all?
I went with the progressive boost one. If I had to do it again I would've just gone with the basic hobbs switch one. I don't think the progressive is necessary.

Manley Turbo tuff I beams, basically the rod of choice for everyone, i think they are supposed to be able to handle like 800-900 whp or maybe even more. Not that i plan to go that high...not yet anyway.

I know this is off topic, but thanks for the input but I got ahold of Blaqops and they are thinking about discontinuing the ecopump with the hobbs switch. So, I'd just have to go with a progressive one
My main thing was to see if they had any cores in stock and I figure I'll put up the whole message as to what they say,
"Hey Jon, I do still require a core for the EVO X, and to be honest I am thinking of discontuing the eco kits since we are really the "progressive and e85" solution and those old style switched kits really arent something we should be doing anyway. Ill tell you though, most guys in your situation have been having pretty good luck locating a fuel assembly on ebay or auto dismantelers with in a week or 2, id try that so that you get a core for cheap to be modified."

More than that. The rating with a 625 bolt is 1200+, and I know they have been pushed over 1400. I wish that is what I had bought...I bought the H beam.
Also the AMS Spec JE pistons have been pushed to over 1000whp too even though they are rated at like 800-900whp.
Regardless the stock sleeves will be the only limiting factor and seeing as how ETS is making 800whp on them right now, it seems they can withstand some serious cylinder pressure.
How come you went with the H beams, were they a lot cheaper or something? I just figured parts are cheap when compared to new motors and the labor associated with it.
I like Chris, I think he's a good guy but I haven't seen any evidence that the progressive feature is necessary or even beneficial. Buschur's double pump and all inline kits work off of either a relay (always on) or a Hobbs switch.
Buy based on price and your power needs. If you do any road course then forget about an in-tank double pump and get a surge tank setup. I suspect that even drag cars would benefit from a surge tank since you could run with lower fuel levels to save weight.
After trying a number of setups I'm now on an MDR-style surge tank with a Bosch 044 inline.
