Weight. They are 100 grams lighter and I wasn't planning to make over 600. I changed my mind, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm putting my motor together this week so I better think fast! The H beams are about $300 cheaper, and there are guys that have made over 900 on that style of rod...so they aren't horrible.

Are you going to make a video of the first time you fire it up?

Maybe

My tuner might, who knows.

I am afraid though...with my luck the first turn off the key...crunch or kaplow...something bad will happen, lol.

That would just mean 2.5L time!

But when things break, it sucks it costs more to fix but with it comes bigger and better. I don't think anyone has asked what clutch do you have or are you going with?

I am running the ACT 6 puck with streetlite flywheel and HD pressure plate.

It is good for like 612tq or something, so it should hold up, at least for a while.

I just put it in before the motor blew, probably 1500 miles or so on it, maybe 2k.

Some completed head pics, nothing too fancy...

Danny (Owner of DB)said his guy didn't get too crazy on the head because he didn't see much restriction. He said he got the bowls inside pretty ported out though. The 4b11 head flows very well already, i am sure this helps though

The oversized valves all in

So it sounds like every piece for the build is there now. Danny said its just a matter of putting the head on the block and putting the ***** back in. So hopefully they don't have too many emergencies of people that need stuff asap so they can focus, lol.

Also, I think i am going with the cocktail mix when they put the tranny back in...the amsoil felt really thick until it heated up and didn't seem to help the notchiness enough.

Did you do a short throw and bushings? I used works and my notchiness is almost w/stock fluid. I also had a pro drive my car at infineon and he said it was just the right amount of notchiness.

Yep, I have the works ones and works base bushings with ams underhood ones. Next I am going to get the gate selector bushing.

I used the works under hood bushings myself. I like how it shifts now there is just enough notchiness to know that I'm in gear and it shift beautifully only miss a shift when I am being a tard.

damn, I just did a Buschur build and was waiting for the black but Robert said it was more than a month out. He must like you more than me. I have to see the numbers you get out of this. I went with the red and with 22lbs we are hitting over 460whp (cant wait to turn it up). I can only imagine what the black with solid boost will hit. NICE BUILD
