What fits me better 5MT or SST ?
Congrats on your choice... but I would have told you to get the SST if the car is a daily driver and you plan on being in traffic alot. The SST gives you really good control over the gears... it's no typical automatic (torque converter). Companies are working on parts to make the SST handle more power too.
manual isn't all that bad in traffic, builds up leg muscles quickly and teaches you how to get moving at the lower RPMS. Just remember it engages a little higher so you gotta be a bit quicker with the clutch on hills.
I just hate how expensive the SST service and upgrades are, all parts for it are so expensive, if i ever decide to go with a different turbo, i will be facing a lot of unneeded complications.

they both feel the same, in sport mode on the SST you could swear your driving a stick.
SST is so easyyyyyyyy to drive.
when i drive my cars back to back I get confused sometimes and forget to shift the manual, when i drive the mr x i feel like driving stick because of the feel of everything happening with the SST.
mod wise the mr's are not the best choice.
easy wise mr FTW
GL whatever u do

I was in the same situation! I got a manual GSR.
05, bought a 350z.. driven a few cars before but never a sport car. bought it in automatic because I didn't know how to drive manual. very convenient in LA traffic. but when I started modding and thinking about turboing, all the headache problems came.. so i ditched it and jumped in the Evo. didn't know how to drive stick.. let a friend teach me in the parking lot for 30 min and drove home. it was a few weeks of ***** driving on the road.. now, its like 2nd nature.. traffic is a bittch but its do-able.. I drive to downtown LA for work every morning. average of 3hr traffic per day.
but um.. maintenance for manual might not be cheaper.. I messed up my stock clutch at 24k miles.. 1600$ mistake.. switched to stage 1 clutch..
also.. iono how much research you have done into this purchase.. I bought the Evo and did not expect the maintenance to be so high.. tire wear, brake wear, etc. etc.

Alright guys, i have test drove this guy's evo x RS, so yah 5spd..i have only driven the MR before now!
The manual feels SOOO GOOD!!! even that he only had an hks bov on totally stock car, it punched so hard...LOVED IT..
The guy shifts soo damn well...i stalled once during a 10min drive, shifting while accelerating twice...yes i haven't driven manual in the while! but there is potential!
The decision is..i am buying me a brand new 2011 Evo x GSR in a month or less!!
Do you guys think i should rent a previous gen manual lancer for couple weeks to practice, is this is a good idea?
