Decide on my HFC!
mil.spec: price is $379 + $25 S&H without a cell fix, DAYUM!
Yes I do wanna save babies, but in the end I'm prob just better off buying ams resonated tp.
it kinda looks like it has a cat converter lol. also hfc's can still throw codes :/

Why change it to begin with? Your car is virtually stock.
I think a HFC is a nice compromise and tradeoff between power and cleaner air. In Texas they just do a check to see if your OBD has not thrown any codes. I have the Cobb HFC which I believe has a metal (not ceramic) catalyst, and on E85 the car is at 363 whp / 372 ft/lbs. I was using it with an anti-fouler, but it still ocasionaly threw a code on cold mornings, until the AccessPort tune disabled the codes. I have passed one inspection so far on my 2008 Evo X.
I have pretty comparable setup, HFC Ultimate Racing with metal substrate (not ceramic), and love it. In MO, OBDII is how they check emissions compliance on newer cars, passes with flying colors. It does have a rich smell and you'll see a bit more soot on the tail pipe tips.
I also wanted to stay "legal" and a bit more eco friendly than boldly running nothing to catalyze the unburnt hydrocarbons -- them cause smog. Again, it's illegal to run a TP on the street, and I'm not a big fan of crawling under my car for an inspection just to give myself more of a conscience issue in the 23 months between them.
I can't remember what I paid for the UR HFC.... $300 is MSRP, who knows if you can ping Darryl there for a discount.
