Their studio banter looks forced and is almost painful to watch.

The producers have to learn how to put on a pre-show happy hour for these guys. They are SO tight in the studio. Out in the field on the segments they actually can make me laugh hard, so the problem I see is they're two tents. They should drink the firewater and imbibe the peace pipe before the studio shoots.

For season 2, I say let them have some liquor before the show. If that doesn't work, find new hosts.

You're not missing anything at all, it's just awful in every way.

A bit harsh. Avoiding the interviews with the stars, very good idea. But the expeditions these guys go on are ok ideas, liked the truck episode a lot, and that is the only time they make decent color commentary and auto analysts. Giving **** is the way of America's blue collar red blooded HP crowd act, the show only has cred then.

Still have to figure out how to get Rutledge killed on one of those side featurettes.....

It took me a few episodes, but the USA version is really starting to grow on me. I still can't stand Rutledge, but some of their challenges have been pretty entertaining- like the truck episode and the moonshine running challenge in the $1000 beaters (that Coupe De Ville flying through the air was awesome!!! ) The one thing you have to realize is that this isn't the UK version. It's an entirely different show geared towards an entirely different audience. Once I kind of accepted that fact I started to really like it. I stll wish they would do more stuff with real sports cars, and one thing that's nice about watching them online is that I can totally skip past the celebrity interview part .

Episode 2 was the bees knees! I must have showed it to 3-4 different people and every time I watched it was just as awesome as the first!

I get so board watching those guys talk, but the blind guy drifting was impressive.

When the US version can brew up something half as clever as this, then I'll reconsider my stance on it...

Sardonic intelligent wit from the US media? They'd get flamed by their sponsors, because of someone being offended. The brits consider the US people stiffs with stiff objects up butts. It's true too in the corporate world. NO senses of humor

I would have to agree that Americans are generally stuck up and lack a sense of humor; especially the type of humor we are used to in TGUK... I say give it time. Perhaps once they work the American out of the show it will be more enjoyable. Until then, enjoy it for what it is. If you truly hate it then don't watch it and complain about something else like the rest of us Americans. LOL
