2010 Evo X SE Registry
And of course how many miles on the odo when you bought it? As for the tranny ... **** happens, and at least it is being replaced. You know, with Mitsu's reputation and all. Then again, if shennanigans were played they might be hoping you don't start digging too deep.
i think the interest in order # relates to Brez's car and the unusual circumstances -- i.e. why is the order # so low relative to the purchase date, and why is the dealer handing him the keychain and replacing the tranny at 1400 miles. Brez, i'm assuming you asked him why the tranny is being replaced?
My understanding is that once the car is purchased, Mitsu receives the info from dealer and assigns you a number based on how many have already been purchased, then they send you the keychain. A EZ way to check if they registered it to you is the letter, the keychain should have come with a letter addressed to you.
GL!
(Just read that you didn't get the letter and that the keychain was mailed to dealer... That is a bit fishy since they are supposed to be giving all your info to Mitsu. Also, all these letters/keychains come in certified mail so you have to sign for it to recieve it. I would recommend going to your dealer and asking some tough questions on why there is no letter/not sent to you home.)
Got the notice of certified mail from mitsubishi on Monday, went to pick it up yesterday , the post office has lost the letter and key Chain. Spoke to the post master who at this point still does not know how this has happened. I hope they find it today! :-(

SST bad at 1,400 miles - why I hate German engineering
To get an idea as to my tranny is getting replaced.

Jumperalex,
The ODO had twenty miles on it when I bought it. The dealer had two; one with 6 miles and one with 20. They prepped the 20 for me, but when I showed up, I noticed it had an airbrushed pin stripe on it. Not my thing. The 20 miler did not have the offending stripe. Regardless, I agree; it’s probably a ****e happens event, bit it never hurts to dig…
I have spoken with Mitsu customer service and they are looking into the keychain issue. I’ll keep you all posted.

If you call up Mitsu corporate they can re-send it.
Could be a customer tried to buy it before but backed out of the deal at the last minute and pocketed the letter and key chain after the dealer sent Mitsu corporate the info. Still sucks about the tranny going bad.
Display "tags"
Anyone interested in having some form of ID tag made for your SE? It would display your number (out of 340) on the car. I know a bunch of printers, scribes, etc. that could do a run for us. I'm thinking one of the following:
1. License plate frame (metal? Plastic?)
2. Sticker (like the current SE rear marker? window sticker?)
3. Dash tag (like the old GVR4s - see below)
Consider this a pole. I will get prices once we decide what we want. Also, if anyone has a design, please post it here.

Definitely interested in the Galant VR-4 style ID tag. It would be cool if they could make it look similar to the key fob and somehow fit 2010 Lancer Evolution SE in there.
Surprised we haven't seen # 300 yet, I doubt there are more than a few dozen SE's still on dealer lots by now.

Good idea Brez! ... I will think on this for the weekend, but that VR-4 tag looks promising.
Side note: You and I have a similar garage, ha. We both have an SE and like your RS-T, I have a 91 Talon TSi. I guess great minds think alike.
