Rexpeed dual gauge pod

If anybody has this (steering column mounted) does it obstruct your view of the speedo? From other pics I've seen I looks as if you can't see the tach till atleast 2k and the speedo until around 60ish. If you had it to do again would you go w/ the same pod or mount'em elsewhere? I'm only gonna run 2 gauges (boost & AFR)....thanks for any input/advice positive or negative

Ok I guess nobody uses this gauge pod...what would everybody recommend? I like the ATI A pillar but $180ish seems high to just hold the gauges and not really too fond of Rexpeed's 3m tape A Pillar. Soooo whats everybody else running and how do you like it? any regrets?

I think you are talking about AMI and yes I have that one. It is worth the money, it will fit right and look right.

I'm running AMI and it's definitely worth the price.

I have the rexspeed 3m tape one and honestly, for the price, it really does fit and work great. It fits nice under the door weatherstripping and looks OEM. All angles match up perfectly.

Agency Power pod for under the climate control. It comes in 3-52mm or 2-60mm. You would need to add a third gauge (as I did) unless you were ok with running a BS Prosport wideband, or run 60 to 52mm adaptors. But then again, I like stuff to look stock.

I have the Perrin Double Gauge Pod, and I'm indifferent about it. I think it fits RA's better than Evo's because our gauge needles don't start at the 6oclock position, so the section the gauges blocks fits better

it definitely does block some of the speedo/tach, but not anything important. I'm not a fan of any other gauge position, and sort of liked how the steering column gauges tries to line-up with the tach/speedo. And I'm not a fan of the CF look on the Rexpeed pod, nor am I a fan of obnoxious CF in general

overall though if I had the chance to make the decision again, I would've spent my money elsewhere besides gauges/pods. Just not 100% happy with them, and I know anywhere else I would be less satisfied, but that's just me.

Are you talking about the Rexspeed A Pillar mount? I have that one, and was disappointed with the fit. Pics are here:

The fact it slides under the trim is nice, but the dash fitment is out a bit.

No that's not the one i have. I bought mine through lancershop.com, and it says made by rexspeed. Mine is dual, and covers the entire A Pillar, and is the same color as OEM interior. No CF. I will get a pic this weekend for you guys.

just fab up your own. Way easier/cheaper and it'll give you the power to position the gauges where you want. Here's my temp setup until I mount them in that position.

20$ for both pods and I just trimmed them up to size for the steering column.

Don't be fooled by the picture. I can see anything over 15mph and 500rpm. Those pics are just at the wrong angle.

I thought about the rexpeed but I just didn't feel like paying the price for a pod that I cannot position myself.

there are holes in the bottom of the pods for the wiring also

I would custom make on but I don't know where to start or even how to go about doing it.
