Up by the mirror. I have a smartcord hardwire for mine. I installed it in a blank, works pretty good.

 

^^^^^ same also. Used a dremel to make the blank hole a fit the smart cord. I also have a blendmount...... awesome.

 

I have mine under the rearview mirror. There are no Blendmounts for Cobras radar detectors, so I made a mount with a mount for a bicycle light. Had to drill a hole in the top cover of the radar detector but that was no biggie (Yes I took the cover off before I drilled it). After all this is a $100 radar detector thats 8yrs old! Probably not something you wanna do with a more expensive detector. I hardwired it as well.
