I get amazing mileage on my civic until I go past ~65, then it guzzles gas.
Yeah but who wants to drive an Evo at 65?

I usually get about 250 miles out of a tank, wait to fill till I get the light. mostly driving on the interstate, between 65-75mph. which I feel is about normal I guess.

City / Suburbia: 15-18 mpg (all depends on driving habits)

Highway: 20-23 mpg

The best I've seen to date on the highway is 24.X mpg. I haven't taken any long road trips yet though, so I imagine there is room for improvement. I'd says these numbers are achievable up to 75 mph depending on your use of cruise control.

20-23, no matter city or highway, some aggressive driving mixed in.

My WRX gets 16 mixed on E85. I went canyon carving one day with friends, averaged 4mpg... And it's about to get worse! FIC 1600s going in this week.

Extreme hills, which explains the variations. When we take the kids up to visit the grandparents, I can get closer to 25mpg, but the roads are flat there and the speed limits are lower.

You're driving too slow. Seriously, 40 mph average?

kinda bringing this up from the dead but...

What mods will give better gas mileage, i read a intake or at least just a filter will help, anything else?

On of the reasons i sold my SRT-10 Ram to get a evo was gas milege...i was getting about 10mpg in my truck.

23 average all-purpose MPG here, between 19 and 25 depending on in town or on the highway.

My Mustang never got better than 19, even on the highway. 3.73 gears. Not too cool. The Evo actually feels quicker 0 to 60, despite what the magazines say.
