Vibrations at idle....

Hey guys,
So i just recently purchased myy 2010 evo and was wondering if you guys have any vibrations at idle...the only mods i know for sure that are on the car are an MAP downpipe, ETS exhaust, intercooler piping, and intake. Would the vibrations be from a bad tune or lack of tune? Just wondering if its something serious that should be looked at or if its minor...

Vibrations at idle wouldn't have anything to do with a tune unless the car can't idle correctly. Do you mean vibrations inside the car? Under the hood? Closer to the rear of the car?

Could be a heat shield, a loose bolt, a missing tab or something..

Almost sounds like you have aftermarket motor mounts.

No its not like a bolt or heat shield that is loose...it vibrates the hell out of me in the drivers seat and the car just shakes...would it be the motor mounts or something?

Mine did that too. Let me guess, using Mobil 1 and it's getting close to the time for an oil change?

what rpm are you idling at when the vibrations occur. Sometimes when the idle drops low the car starts to shake trying to stay alive.

Did you also check the hose that comes off unless zip-tied/secured?

I think its hilarious how every time anything happens people say check the hose..

If it has aftermarket motor mounts than it would def do that. And +1 on maybe a low idle. How does the car "feel" and sound at idle? And what ETS exhaust is it? Maybe the exhaust is sooo loud, and that's what you feel..?

What hose are you guys regering to? But regaurdless, I don't think it has anything to do with pressure because i tried giving it some gas to idle at like 1100 rpm and the shaking stopped....so would I just have to adjust the idle? I was just wondering why it would shake at the stock 750 rpm....

I would find the cause. You would only be hiding the problem. Go to a good shop that knows Evos. It could be just a mod that you don't know about..
