Whats wrong with my ETS Intake install?

I'm getting choppy idle some at times and I can't figure out where the 2nd part of the heat shield bolts up to.

Took some pics of the system and compared it to another members and noticed the filter isn't sitting near the driver headlight.

It's looking like this

MY INSTALL BELOW

COMPARED TO CORRECT WAY

I don't know whats wrong

It looks like you need to twist it or something. Your angle is off, here is a pic of mine.

I know two hoses are being used incorrectly. The Bend hose is being laid out horizontally and the straight hose is going down vertically to the LICP. So those need to be turned around.

I may have the couplers to the turbo mixed up as well.

I found this as the layout

It looks like you have the hoses switched on the bov but you also need to grab and twist the pipe so the cone angles towards the drivers side.

holy triple sow cow my friend. the closer to your rad fan your intake is (especially without the heat shield) the choppier your idle will be due to the air interferance!

looks like everyone has covered the rest. good luck to you.

Yes, the bung going to the bov should be strait and level. The way your pipe is sitting the bung is angled up towards your hood.

Put the heat shield on. In order for the shield to fit you will need to orientate the pipes correctly. This will solve your problem.
