Reading your story makes me frustrated. What is the point of a dealership having a service department if the tech's are incompetent and the managers let this kind of stuff happen?

I like others will go to the dealer to keep a record tied to Mitsu for warranty purposes but all future oil changes I'm with Gabe511 and bringing my own oil to make sure the proper type and weight is used. Picked up a 6 quart case of Mobil 1 5W-30 at BJ's wholesale for $27 making it $4.50 a quart. Makes the dealer look even more criminal with their charge of $10.95/qt.

I'm so glad Dallas has great Mitsu dealers, especially when it comes to the Evo.

Looks like I have to put up with them again. My hood release handle finally snapped off today and flew into the back seat. I have to open the hood with pliers now

That really sucks and I can completely relate. Transit Town Mitsu (the dealer in Buffalo) is beyond god awful. After the sales people lied to me about what after market parts would and would not void the warranty the service department gave me an even bigger run around. Its to the point where if there is a recall I will get the part elsewhere and have my tuner replace it. Secretly I am glad they are done making Evos so my future will not include a Mitsu dealer... its a terrible thought I know but the foul taste they left behind affords me no other choice. They told my exhaust voided the warranty of the entire car. Im so glad nobody else in my family has a car from them.
