I can't believe they are still using those crappy Panasonic batteries in the new X's! I thought they were all supposed to come with "red tops" now.

Take it to the dealer to have diagnostic done on your electrical system. Could be something serious!!

got my first full service a few days ago and i told them to check the battery again cause i've read that it's supposed to be crap and i'm def not happy with it these 9 months i've been driving my X. their response was that it's perfectly fine and there's no way they can change it for me under warranty (even after i told them that dealers in the US do just that). cyprus car dealers...

So I took it to the dealership today, and they checked the battery / alternator and everything checked out fine. I'm pretty upset about everything right now. They didn't even check over the electrical system or anything. All they told me was to call and have the car towed to the dealership the next time it dies.....which means I can't drive the car for a few days as I wait for the battery to die again. I'm going to go over the v1 hardwire again, but I'm pretty sure I didn't make a mistake.

This car has been nothing but a headache so far, I really hope things get bette soon.

A couple of things you can do at this point. Don't reinstall the V1, and see if the battery dies again. You can also, buy a volt meter and check the electrical system yourself.

I talked to one of my professors who was an electrical engineer and got some pointers from him after i showed him a sketch / pictures of the install. I uninstalled the v1 yesterday and I also have a voltmeter since I'm in a instrumentation class and working to build an EKG. I'll report back in a few days whats up.

While I'm waiting a few days and monitoring the voltage on my battery, does anyone know which wires I should tap exactly for the v1? I was using pink and black for the dome light but clearly that isn't right. I don't want to run anything to the cigarette lighter or to the Fuse, I just want to know which wires other people have tapped and had success. Thanks!

Hey. I have the same problem from the first month, my EVO X MR 2010. I drive the car everyday, but if I don't drive her for one day the battery dies. I had this problem from the first month. I ended up installing another battery from my EVO 8, I now have two batteries hooked up to my EVO. Doesn't happen as much as it did before.

It was the V1 hardwire. I uninstalled it on Wednesday and didn't drive my car until Saturday and it started up fine. Now I have to redo the hardwire, and tap wires correctly...
